Thanks for asking and showing interest in the project guys....
Thing is , the wiring issues for the car, not the engine loom, well it had to be taken all out again.. :S
And since it's summer again AND i like to party and go to festivals, frankly not enough work is done to those issues atm..
Belive it or not, but I actually have a quite busy life out of the workshop as well..
Got the new calibrated coil overs and new springs for the front yesterday so they'll be fitted the coming week end,big thanks to AVO Suspension for SWIFT and good service, as always when they custom build for me.
The new wheels to be "permanently mated" to the car are ordered and soon in prduction.
3 piece wheels totally custom made. 12x18 at the rear and 10x18 at front.
looks like this only our's has a black centre :
Gonna be 345's at the rear and most likely 295's in front
So I'm sorry to say it still is a bit of work left :S
Damn it takes soo much time to transform a granada into a supercar...how could I possibly know that before we started the build??!! haha lol
A nice summer to all you fabolous people out there!!!
Cheers

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
wheels should suit the motor perfectly, especially with black centres
may have to nick your lower arm design tho, and are we allowed to know what poundage springs you will be running?
or is that top secret?
loving how the rs kit has been fitted around the intercooler though
need some cut out number plates and holes in the bumper to allow as much air flow through i think though

heheheh, well here comes a tiny update from Amsterdaaaam
All the wiring issues is now sorted , and new suspension is fitted, just waiting for the wheels and tires, so now we are very close to the first outing of the car

Okay, I tought i'd give a little update... things always take more time than one could wish for...
Anyway, the wheels was delayed because of two reasons. I wanted something(guess what... :P ) engraved to the wheel caps, and a more severe thing, there might be a very vary small clearance problem between one outher point of the front calippers and the bolts of the outher diameter of the wheels.
Two solutions to this, either we make the wheel half an inch wider, and the get provisjon for moving the outher part of the wheel 5mm outwards, or we go with the 10" design and put a 5mm spacer on it...but i don't really want that. We'll decide today what to do.Either way, they will be sent to me by the end of next week
The wiring problems are all solved now, so all systems are go
But tyres became somewhat of a challenge...
As mentioned , the wheels are 10x18(or 10,5x) at front and 12x18 at the rear.
You want the tyre walls to be roughly the same front and rear so and keeping that in mind we ended up with 275/35/18 at front and 335/30/18 at the rear. I simply could not find any wider rear tyres(street legal ones) in 18".
And it will be rolling on toyo proxes R888 , i also have ordered at set og kuhmo ecsta V70 for the rear as well.
My experience of the R888 from when i had my Focus RS was VERY good, I loved those tyres, both in the wet(!) and dry.
I really wanted some wider tyres (still about 10cm left inwards with 335's at the rear) both front and rear...but this is better than the orignal 205/60/15 anyway :P
And, a 335 tyre isn't too far of beeing a fat tyre either....
And by the way, Isn't there one more big ford show in britain in the near future, i'm trying to figure out if we could bring it over to one before the winter kicks in
Cheers

Yeps, the car is buillt to perform best in the bends, decent quarter mile times would just be an added bonus!! Put in a turn at the end of the quartemile trap, and I'm all in
Anyway, I have(in my mind) a complete dedicated drag race set-up, but as I have decided to leave my job at Sharp by the end of this year, in favour of going to pilot-school(helicpoter) in february, so then I wont have funds to complete that setup in quite some time...
Jay : yes, you are sooo right
Mike : Okaaay, tnx for sorting that out for me, I guess i mixed smth when i studyed english
