'Winnie' the Mini Respray and freshen up!
Hey there peeps, sorry its not a ford, but my RS Turbo doesnt really need that much doing to it only having 27k on the clock, so thought id put up pics of my other halfs car and what ive done to her.
I fetched the mini from Amy's mums house in Stevenage where it'd been stood for 2 years, was in reasonable condition but clutch had seized and a few other things(!!) After spending near on £1200 gettin her through the MOT and working sweetly, i set about freshenin her up. We went to a mini show few weeks back and bought tonnes of new stuff for her ready for when i could fit her in at work! Being as this weekend we were quiet at work (a rarity!!) i decided it'd be prfect time to sort her!
Ill start with a few pics of how she looked to start with!
Coming home from Stevenage...
After gettin her running sweetly, we ran her like this for a month or too..
Then friday night we took her in...

And finally onto top coat, in the brightest white we use at work, proper blinding in the sun lol Pics really dont do the colour justice, basically it is 98% pure white off the mixing scale!

And after getting up at 5 Monday morning to get her rolled into the car park before everyone turns up for work, she looked like this...
And after work building her so i could at least get her home, like this, including, new crystal headlights, new grill & surrounds, new rear lights, new number plate holder, fuel cap..
Got to paint the bloody bonnet again though, as the new(!!!) bonnets catch wasnt welded on properly and need rewelding, causin the paint to blister on other side obviously, no biggy though, will get done asap.
New mirrors...
Still got loads to put on her, like the new W & P arches we painted, Union jack decal (genuine Rover one)....
I really fancy some 13 x 7 deep dish mini lites, although theyll have to wait till after we've moved now...
What ya think, not bad for my first car paint??

Sorry charlie, was still putting pics up, shes nearly there, got a few bits still to fit (see above), buit Amy is well happy with it which is the main thing and it has no rust visible now, although really good nick underneath anyway, which is going to get treated with some black paint i think. Its just a case of having time to do everything really, as i have an RS Turbo to keep tidy too now.
Thanks for the comments anyway matey

Hey Paul, Job is great, loving it mate, and me and the girlfriend are moving into a new house as soon as we sell my apartment, as well as being an RS Owner again! You going to Central at pod, we'll have to meet up and catch up buddy!
Charlie, i paint articulated trailers everyday, either curtainsider or box van, as well as tippers (which are a bastard, takes about 10 litre of of silver and 10 litre of laquer!). Mostly paint around 6 new Eddie Stobarts a day!

Woah, i've used my mates commercial spray booth to do our Merc and thought that was large - but your work is on another scale dude! Thats mad - fantastic work on the tipper anyway
Mini looks great, i'd love to own one at some point - don't think I put up with the rust though. (which is saying a lot for a Vauxhall owner! LOL).
My only comment would be to get the back dropped down... would really improve the overall look of the car imo!
