Our littlen loves going out in the cars
Drives the misses mad with her car obsession and she's not even 2 yet ( job well done on my part I think )

Nowt wrong with that. My 10 year old is well into them and the youngest is well on the way. Just need to get out of his head that Range Rovers are the best cars to have. Told him you need a old ford in the back ground to keep you busy and a Range Rover for everyday

A few from the other weekend @ Oulton Park Gold Cup... just to keep the thread up to date

Was hoping to do a few more cars & coffee meets, a map tweak, maybe even fit a few parts that are sat in the garage... but that's another show season almost gone... time to sorn end of the month
Even more so now I'm in next week for a cancellation inguinal hernia operation... hopefully be back on the mend soon enough and back to 100% fitness ready for next year
Retroford Magazine feature due soon... will update when I know it's due out

Just because its not a RS, doesn't mean I can't buy nos genuine parts does it...

Purchase number 1... 1x Nos NS Carello headlight with original box - cheap aswell, just Ł35 plus postage

No problem just need the other side... not available from Ford... I checked with our local parts guy
Even got our Orion Register Ford parts guy on it... but his computer said no
Me being anti FB just said if you see owt let me know
A week ago getting late on he text me a link to one just put on eBay
A week of watching

And this evening

Purchase number 2... 1x Nos OS Carello headlight with original box - errrrrm, I needed it/ wanted it lol

Slight issue is seller won't post... but after a couple of texts to Orion Register members in that area and collection and postage is in hand...

Great score on the head lights...I might be buying another pair myself (aftermarket ones), then sealing them up properly and then spraying the backs black to help them from rusting...the new ones I bought for the Orion, besides the rust on the tops, one is now steaming up so might just end up with 2 new ones for the sake of it...not like they are mega money

I have 4 Genuine Carello headlights (2 from my Orion and 2 from my Escort van), but I think ill end up buying brand new items to freshen up the front ends

Did you have any joy with trying out the HID's? What are they like with glare at night? And did you manage to figure out the dim-dip issue?

Wish you a speedy recovery!

It’s not iPhone friendly
The app is useless
And going through the website just isn’t usable, really struggle to copy links to post...
I would imagine on laptop it’s fine
But I wanna do it via phone as it’s convenient

Imageshack seems ok via website on phone although images are small. App needs updating
Dunno if paying for it makes things any easier?
My Photobucket subscription runs out in January so I’ve still got alittle time

I’ve gone over to Flickr, it’s not too bad once you get you’re head around it, the app isn’t too bad and you can get the codes to upload here without too much trouble.

Edit: actually, the image codes are easy to get off the website but not on the app.

It just spins in 1st, 2nd, 3rd starts to pull higher up the Rev range...
Even with all the chassis upgrades there still sh!t compared to modern cars
There’s so much drama and noise... but that’s why we do it
Sticking this much bhp up a Orion was never a good idea

It’s so much fun though

What tyres are you running on the Onion?

My cab gripped high up 2nd gear and 3rd was fine, if the roads were wet then that's another story. I've got Toyo R1R which are a track/road tyre.

When the zetec turbo first went in I had some old Yokohamas, it was hilarious I was leaving 11's all over the place, great fun but its better with grip.

Have a look into a brand called Neuton for tires, they are distributed by a Saab racing specialist and are very very grippy....much more so than my old Yoko's and Michelin Pilot Sports etc!

I had them in 225/40 18 and were on 9x18 Pro Race 1.2's on my Focus RS, 430hp and that could only grip in third on those tires...

Cheap to considering prices of the 'higher' brands...were around Ł70-75 each from memory

Cracking tires and if they do the right sizes, ill buy them for the Onion once that goes ZT

I just want less in there but still want the bass and a more usable boot space ( not for tip runs , just for carrying stuff to shows )
I’ve got a single 15 inch Vibe I may swap the 2 x 12 inch Vibes for
I’ve had the Vibes for best part of 14 years I think

All you need in there is a pair of 10s mate...trust me! You could even go for something like a decent single 12...When I get round to finally sorting a build thread and getting my audio side done, you will see how good you can get without taking up tons of boot space

My box takes up about as much space as yours (although my box is bigger...its taller and wider, but depth is about the same and stays under the shelf)...but is considerably louder with smaller subs. I still get tons in the boot and well...the back seat is there for overflow lol
