my rst series 2 zvh 2.1 conversion should i just carry on
owned my rst series two now for a few months, after one month the bottom end started knocking lol,so i decided to go zvh, went to see jacko and carl at blue oval garages,we decided to go 2.1 zvh over the last few months i have been buying parts, first was a 2.0 mondeo engine, then a sump and pick up pipe, then got a efi head of a xr3i from a scrappy, after that i bought some wossner pistons, newman cam with solid lifters and double valve springs,

Is there a particular reason you went for the cvh head as apposed to the zetec head or other zetec type heads (forget the neame now but I think a black top head is good for 300+ without porting??)
Genuinely interested in your reasoning for the cvh head as IIRC the comeabout of the zvh was because people already had the bits from a cvh inc management etc... so on a build like this with cossie management why didnt you use a 16v head?
Cheers

Will you be 'finding the limit' of the 8v head?

I look forward to seeing what results you end up with.
I love the idea of a high power at low boost build.
High power at low boost levels indicates an efficient intake/cylinder head.
Do you have any flow test results from the cylinder head?
The head looks as if it has had some reshaping already done.
I am assembling a cylinder head here in Canada (for a turbo Escort 1.9), and am having some port work done (flow bench testing on a Superflow 600). I have reached stock Zetec
head flow numbers without too much effort.
Cheers
