Ok time for my project Saff

...as most know i bought a saff privateer rally car...with a nice spec already, its actually ready to race as is..but its tatty as you would expect from a used car..the project is gonna be major tidy up,bodywork clean up and new graphics..plus of course some nice mods :top:

The spec is that its a gravel setup car so it runs 909 bilstein coilovers with forest inserts, now for me this is ideal as tarmac inserts will be way too harsh for me on the road..all in all the suspension feels right.Wheels are 15in mags with forest tyres which are obviously goin to be changed to tarmac type wheels and of course lowered down to suit....as this will be a road/track car i think its goin to be about right as our roads are certainly not set up for tarmac spec!

So first pic as is now:-

My first task is here:-

Spiky..was goin to use that until i saw a tin that is a new formula to eliminate streaks..so i thought give it a go.

Twins...i dont actually know as i bought it from a bloke who had bought it off the bloke  ..it came from somerset so i guess some welsh forest stages..but its deffo been rallying..msa logbook all stamped etc.

Sensible thread :top:

Nice looking car, should be excellent when finished, just ripe for some trackdays. It would be rude not to with a car with such history.

Keep the pics coming and good luck.

:top: top taste in cars, will be good to have a similar spec shell as mine out on track too :)
the shells are so stiff, should handle really well when dialled in with the right shocks you have
