update!...

brought me this, just to add to the rest of the cage...not sure whether to leave it chrome or to spray it black to match the cage



also the cage is now inplace!!

took me ages to get it in, had to take abit out the sides of the dash etc...

here's how it looks at the moment!







going to have box section welded in the back, so that the rear section of the cage has a flat surface to bolt onto...

you can pick the rear sections up quite easy...the rear one i had in my green bonus was on ebay the other day..sold for 38quid and hes only about 30mins away...

quite a big update....

i woke up this morning, tried to start my car and "click...click" nothing happend, lifted my bonnet and........

me, nobby and pard spent most of the day getting the 1.3 rattler out today with help from nobbys brother jord for handing is the tools....

just need to clean up the bay now ready for its new heart!

also was asked to put a pic up of this piecer up!!....only joking nob....



just looking out for a new engine now....

also just want to take this moment to say thank you to nobby...pard...jord...and my mom for doing the cuppers lmao!!

little update...

im thinking of building a efi turbo engine for it, similar to the green mk4 ive had but with more power...not 100% yet probly more like 50%....but heres a few bits ive sourced if i do...

got me a stage 2 t3 hybrid (rebuilt 1,000miles ago) off me mate and put a heatwrapped manifold i had lying about..





also -31 actuator which i gave a lick of paint just...

well i realyyy want it back on the road asap so just going to put a 1.6cvh in it to get about...

and then at a later date im thinking of building a efi cvh turbo engine...or even a 2.0 zetec turbo, just got to see how the funds are to be honest!

a couple of blades are grazed but personally i dont think its going to effect it holding boost etc just might take abit longer to spool up..

but im getting a new comp wheel anyway...

i didnt..i swopped him a standard t3, but it only needs a comp wheel as its not no play what so ever in the shaft etc and just been rebuilt...

what price he say to you?

Another update...

gave the engine bay a clean, got most of the oil and shite off, but will go over it again soon..

managed to get some circle cutters so did this yesterday...



not sure of the design ive done though so might get me another bumper and something different...

ive gave the brakes a good look over and i cant see no chunks missing :S

all i can say is they wer cheap enough, and should make a big difference over the bottle tops of brakes ive got at the moment!

and no i cant say i do know anyone wanting a 1.3 rattler...

i dant say i wanna buy the brakes i said if i wanted to buy them wen he asked me i would but dont need them yet so no point wen can spend the money on the shell.

i ant reli looked in to a cage yet so duno wat ones bolt and weld in.

wat u doin bout ur floor on ur bonus u got to weld some bits ant ya? i got one hole on mine that need to look at behind the drivers seat but not sure if i need to plate it yet will hav to delve a lil deeper lol

just buy a bolt in rear cage, the one out my green one was on ebay not long back, sold for about 40quid i think...

yer theres a few holes in the floor, but nothing a little welding would sort out, but me mate is coming round one of the weekends to do it for me, and hes welding some platforms in the back so the rear section can be bolted down better..

once this has been done im prepping all the floor and respraying it, then respraying the cage and bolting it all in...

kl kl wat u doin with it colur wise silver with matt black cage lol mines mercury grey with matt cage an strut.
duno wat to do about the floor and sides wen its painted either leave them or make some fake cards and cover the floor so its all tidy but no back seat hmm?
