well as its not goin on the track anytime soon, me and me mate just took a few coils off...(obviously wouldnt use it on track with chopped springs! )

yer it is a tiny bit lower on the back but obviously if the front was as low then there would be clearance issues when i run bigger wheels and tyres...

but theres not a problem with the back a tad lower than the front is there..

This may sound like a bit of a dumb question,but why do so many people go for Bonus models,is there something different about them or just that they turn up in good condition?
I do like the idea of the Bonus badge on the back with a nice engine up front.

Bonus's are normally alot cheaper than a similar age rs/xr and are usually ALOT less rusty and have normally had an easier life

I agree, i grew out of it after owning 2 escorts with chopped springs, so dangerous and unpredictable especially on the road. My rst handled better with koni shocks and standard height springs than my old escort on the deck with chopped springs. IMO the back should sit slighlty higher than the front too, other than that its looks quite tidy jaydn

looks the nuts but maybe you sholud look into lowering it properly on coilovers and castor correctors.

i had a bonus smalled 80 mm on chopped -60 springs.........killed box's and drive shafts......tyres..........wheel bearings........because of the massive camper on the front

looked shit hot tho, if i ever do it again i'll go down the coilover route

and yer you do get a pretti shite ride and is very bouncy but will chuck them away when it goes on the track for decent suspension....

picked up an even better set for alot cheaper with newish tyres and been refurbed a couple of months ago!!

reminds me of my first car, 1.3 bonus 4 speed loved it, same silver as this, series 2 rims full 90spec interior loadsa stereo n slammed to the deck, couldnt get a deck of 20 on its side under the car!! chopped the springs in half was a quality lil motor.........till it got nicked, bastards......

my first car (on the road) was my red popular (1.6cvh)

cant stand all the speakers etc... just slammed on s2 wheels, fully stripped and recaros up front is for me...

not sure whether to keep the wheels silver...but silver on silver

before i brought the car the plan was black on silver so i might just spray em black as id planned....

well the thing is...

i was going to try and contrast it sort of...

plans wer to spray the alloys gloss black the same as the inside of the car (just the whole floor not the sides)..

and have a silver cage to match the outside...

not sure though!
