a crash is one thing but finding you have no steering at over a ton must be a brown trouser moment

What was bent on the rear end to have the passenger side rear wheel at a funky angle, as that all looks mint still?

the strut bent , mainly because it landed side onto it and it was on full droop so the strut was only in the can a couple of inches,, i have spares so sent them all to Aurok for a service

Be sorted in no time, especially with that fat fella on the case, he really seems to know what he is doing with a spanner

How good would it be to have that as a full bolt on bolt off setup to fit standard cossie mounting points. Much better and modern then any radius arm setup

The problem is the rear struts/hubs, that is where the money is.

Ah fair enough mate.
Yes in principle it would be awesome, just likely to be quite a few grand I suspect!
You also need to take into account the top shock mount becomes fully load bearing too though, so would still need that welding up to re-enforce it IMHO

Im of the opinion that you do need to, you only have to look at the hammering that sierra front strut tops take when you fit harder suspension to see that, and they are MEANT to be load bearing, so sod trusting a bit that isnt meant to be in the first place!

i seam welded my strut mounts when i fitted coil overs, as chip said it becomes a load bearing point, dont trust it with just the spot welds!
