They can go inside or outside I've not made up my mind on the inside or outside .
put them outside and people will think wots he got in there to hide . Put them inside out of sight and they will do the job just the same but less atenatten will be bort to the garages but I loose a bit of space inside witch is tight as it is

Iv had a bit of time in the garage today and got a lot done . The crank has been swopped over from the old block and new shells fitted and a new hi pressure oil pump fitted sorry no photos of that .
the head that is now on top of this new motor is the one off my original docs motor so I no 100% it's good . The sump cannot go on yet as I need to get AN- fittings welded on it as I'm putting a WRC breather set up on it as it's all out of site but the motor can breath with out any problem

As most of us are stuck at home me included now I'm trying to push on with all the work that needs doing to the old girl so hopefully in the summer if all this shit in the world is better I might be able to get the old girl back on the road . So iv been pushing on with getting the new motor together and it's starting to come together now I'm glad to say as parts are still turning up a bit late but that's to be expected I'm just glad at the mo parts are turning up . I'm going to be removing the rear beam very soon as iv got work I can get on with under there .

Small update today I found a place open that could weld my sump for me and the place is in the same village that we do aware shopping so it's a win win . The chap works on his own so staying open for time being .

And as iv fitted a WRC Breather and I have had a problem on my focos motor with this problem I thought I would check on this motor as I'm not running the standard sump baffle I'm putting in a gated baffle iv had for 10 years on the shelf 😂
wot it is you have to bend the oil dip stick tube to get round the breather witch deflects the dip stick as it goes into the sump . You can see how the dipstick is at a angle as it goes into the space ware the sump will be . So I put some red grease on the end of the dipstick and you can see ware it touches .

You can just see I have modded the baffle so the oil will not come up the hole . It will still take the oil hight from ware it was supposed to so I'm happy
Iv all so cleaned up a 4x4 inlet but I'm not feeling the love at the mo and the swedish inlet I have is to bling for how I won't this motor to look so iv ordered some black crinkle paint so I'm going to do that and see wot I think before the motor goes in

Todays work was I got the sump all fitted onto the motor .

And iv had a move around as well as the focos does not need any thing doing to it at the mo . And the 3dr is going to get all the running gear removed this week as I'm going to redo the under side now as I'm sitting at home it's all down to if I can find a place close to me that's still open to powder coat the front and rear beams and arms

I forgotten to take a photo of my brake calipers when I removed them . But they have been boxed up and shipped off with UPS and there on there way to Biggred Brakes to be fully rebuilt to factory looking . I have been in tuch with them and there still working but only mail order only no dropping off or picking up witch ok with me as it only cost £10 to send them .

working outside is fine as long as people stay 2 meters away.

Default (COLEYST200)-My 3DR Rebuild

Small update the hole under side of the car does not have a single bolt in it and iv started cutting out and welding some of the bad bits witch thank God is not a lot . And amongst some of the stuff turning up is my old brakes witch I sent off to Biggred to have rebuilt and I must say I'm over the moon with them

As you can see the two layers of metal that made up the seam have burst open so it had to be sorted

Old bit removed

New bit welded in place

This I did not won't to do but it had to been done . And I'm glad I have now

These are the only uver places iv got to do something with

I think it's time I did a bit of a update iv sent shit loads on eBay because of this lockdown lol
and I not really got my ass into gear till this week so as I might be back at work this coming week I thought I best get on with it

Still some parts to strip out of the engine bay but all the welding has been done in there

And all the underside has been cleaned rust treatment done in some places and rust treatment blasted down the chassis rails to treat any rust in there . And iv spent the hole day today doing all the seam sealing so all being well tomorrow I can degrees the underside bag the car up and blast the Gravitex sealer onto the underside . Iv had all the powder coating back . And iv dropped some more stuff off to him to be done

Toyota supra diff all sorted with home mate adapters and weir kit fitted . With a MT rear cover

The new motor is just sitting there waiting to go into it's new home

Looks good!

Did you source your weir kit directly from them? Are they easy to deal with?

Not had the best of days I started putting on the stone gard / Gravitex on the underside of the 3dr today and with in 20 min I noticed some bubbling on some of the seams only ware I had used tiger seal to seal the seams . I would say about 60% has reacted . So I'm going to have to remove the affected areas witch I'm not happy about it but it is wot it is . I even watched some videos on YouTube doing exactly the same as me with no problems 😠😠😠
