Brought a bonnet and an original grille the weekend, before all the shit hit the fan. The bonnet was brought just for the vents so its for sale to the right person aswell.....NOW SOLD

Only parts i need to finish off the front end are the the indicators and the side lights for the front bumper......getting there slowly

Forgot to say, been busy today sticking this in the ground, hahaha, get through that then you bastards!!!!

Rang the insurance up about the roof and they told me to my relief i am covered on the insurance...... ..........but sadly the bike isn't ......so the chaps from the roofing company will be out on wednsday to see the damage and hopefully see about sorting it!!!

Hopefully then i can get about carrying on with the shell and then sending it in for paint..........

The one wheel in the 2nd photo is about 3 years old and has done a lot of work in it life and still going well
Im only using them under the car and in the engine bay as the pant was sh*t and was 1/2 inch thick...On the out side of the car NO NO NO YOU WILL KILL THE CAR

You cant go wrong with a knotted wire wheel
I wanted one to do the underside of my sapphire but thought Ł15 each from homebase was too much!!!

So i got one from the tool man at the local market for Ł2 and 3 from ebay for Ł10

Been using them for hours stripping the underside back to bare metal and they are still going strong!

Ok have been busy today making a chassis cradle system so i can wheel the car in and out the garage, simply made out of unistrut lengths cut down and some casters, easily bolted to the underside of the car.

Obviously im using them at the momment but if anyone wants to use them for future 3 door builds i'll let them go for a snip!!

Heres a few pics anyway................

Also ive started doing a bit on the engine bay using the wire wheels, what you see took an hour tops, really effortless and one of the best tools ive invested in for a while!!

The prep lad is coming round tommorow for his tea, spoke to him on the phone today and he reakons he'll have it prept in prima by next sunday???? Somehow i think not

More to follow pretty regularly now so watch this space.........

Thought id give you a little update, had an early start this morning to go to Bristol to pick up a donar car for parts i need.
This is what ive brought........................

Ive brought the car for the windows and the seals / skirt kit / door locks / clips and odds and sods for a good price.

Was told the car pictured was a 1.6 shell as a cosworth replica using genuine parts, (parts are A1!!!), but to my suprise the gearbox tunnel was a cosworth one!!!
Anyway this was baffling me??? How could this be???? A closer inspection of the shell revealed the following.......

Apologies for the pic quality will post some more up tommorow day, the car seems to be 1.6 rear and a cosworth front so yippee im now lumbered with a 'cut and shut'!!!

The car also came with a loom in it but as daylight has gone this will be inspected tommorow day, seems to have the right connectors of a cozzy loom so fingers crossed

A small bonus was this rear wash bottle in the boot aswell..........

which had the loom for it aswell............bonus!!!

More updates will follow tommorow with a bit of luck!!!!!!

As promised a little update of what ive been up to today.....................

Priority of the day was to strip the donar car and get the glass out...........

Then i rolled the car over and started to strip the underside. This is whats left of it.................

Here is a pic clearly showing the 2 cars put together. Do you like the 2 tone paint job???

Had a few people asking me about the shell and if id sell it. Clearly not im affraid, so had to send it to heaven...........

R.I.P Cozzy - 1600L

Keep looking, more updates soon guys
