latest news :
i finished fabricating the intercooler pipes as well as the air inlet pipe that goes to the MAF.
also made a 90degree piece to make the radiator hose work and some mounts for the humongous spoiler i'll put on the back
the AIM dash finally arrived, a month after ordering it....so i got the carbon surround cut and drilled.
tomorrow i'll crack on putting it in and making all the aeroquip connections.
heres the pics from today :

stavros :
not carried away but just doing things decently. after seeing all the horrible tuning jobs people on the volvo 480 forum did i thought its time for a nicely done one.
in reality it doesnt take much longer to do a job decently but its worthwhile in the longrun.
thanks for your compliments

OK....the following has been accomplished today:
- finished the looms for the AIM dash and the EBC inside the car as well as going to the new sensors
- carbon surround cut to shape and fitted in place of the original gauges
- Oil lines in AN10 made up from proper aeroquip hose/adapters
we today agreed between my m8 and myself that its most likely around 32 workhours from completion now. we'll see how we get on.....

ok.....some more wiring stuff sorted and redone....
all of a sudden there was no more indicators nor brake lights so checked all the grounds and found the little bastards responsible ....
LITTLE SHIT, why u so ugly with me ???
anyway, put the 2fast2furious spoiler on the bootlid and now looks proper boyracer. i hope it will actually help the wheel lift and the weight distribution of the car.....
so i fired up my dash and configured it with the basic sensor setup / ignition / looks
looks mega i think in the carbon dash with the 60mm ebc next to it it was already kinda dark when i finished work so pics of my cell didnt come out too good....anyhow, here :

AWESOME! How was the power delivery with that turbo? Go well? The one I had (similar/identical) spooled up faster AND gave more power than the standard Garrett T28

Hah, not bad for an ebay turbo eh
I feel quite proud for reccomending the engine/turbo etc and that its all gone so well
The spec is better than I ever imagined to be though

Lol, to be fair spiky i dunno how much he wants, and he is away on business at the mo so cant ask him. But he is replacing it with another AIM one that has a shit load of extra data logging ability as he wants to log bloody everything! 3 air temp sensors for gods sake, ambient, just after the turbo and plenum.... plus all the other temps pressures etc.
So he will probly keep all the wiring in the exige for the new dash. But that might work in your favor, as he wont need all the wiring that comes with the new bling dash so just give him a call and see what he says matey
