XR3I cabriolet, very slow project
thought id put some pics up of my new little project, i swapped my black rs replica for this and im sooo happy with it so far.
the progress is gonna be very slow atm cause i havnt got any money with the price of insurance and all that put it will get there eventually.
anyway its a 1989 xr3i cabby with a mfi engine, atm everythings standard apart from the headunit and the wheels and the cars all pretty mint apart from a spot of rust on the drivers door shut but thats only surface rust

This is only my opinion but please please please don't do any of the bodywork yourself this time.
No disrespect but I'd clean it up and keep it standard and only do things as and when you can afford to do it properly.
I just read your whole thread about the replica and it was all going so well until you started to touch the bodywork.
Again, only my opinion - good luck.

um not saying what excactly im paying on insurance but i bet what i pay a month is more than what a lot of people do a year, so yes its a lot but suprisingly its 37 quid a month cheaper than the replica was.

i thought id just let you no how this project came to a end a few weeks ago as i havnt been online for a long time. it was just starting to get somwhere when one night i decided to go out in the rain. the car skidded out going round a corner up a kerb then went sideways into a lampost bounced off that and went down the road on its nose which resulted in half of the passenger side front wheel missing and the rest ripped off the chassis and embeded through the bulkhead. and a extremly twisted chassis. so all i can say is rip cabby
