As you can see i have done a few cosmetic changes to the car,i wanted to keep it a bit low key while i was doing them so it was seen at ford fair first, as the old internet can take the surprise out of things these days,i understand some people may not like the mods ,which is fine by me 
.
Fancied a change on the boot spolier,as i have the rs 1700t on the track car i thought it would look good on the red car ,but i have always loved the e30 m3 evo extension spolier and thought it could work !!!!
Back in january i got a moulded section of the rs1700 boot off Phil at carbon delight ,i wanted to use a metal boot lid so would bond the two together ,actually using the boot that was on the car when i bought it 20 years ago :-0.
I also got a blade off phil in fiberglass as i was to modify the underside for the m3 one to sit up into ,and also ordered a fiberglass replica m3 one from Latvia,the original m3 ones are too expensive
A few pics of the boot lid mocked up one cold night back in Jan

Lots mate ,next few photos is the light change ,fancied going dark with the lights(third brake light was darkened to test as a smoked one was on order) and also doing a carbon number plate backing ,did a test with some insulation tape to check the look
Next up ,i have always loved the turbo fans on the old rally sapphire cosworth wheels, and seeing as i have the same wheels i fancied making a set

Few more updates added a bit of fablon to the back panel, while the carbon panel was being made
Test fit with the carbon panel
Fitting ,added a bit of black tape behind the lights to hide the red
Boot lid all painted just waiting on carbon blades to be made
Keeping the carbon theme going
Got a rough carbon mock up of the blade outer skin to check fitment etc

ah carbon fibre back panel! I've been thinking about this for a couple of years. I quite liked the look f the Astra GTE having that black vinyl and since seeing it in person I thought the Escort would look good with something like that. Do Carbon delight have a mould?

Car looks hard as nails really like that. What was the idea of the wheel fans? Was it for cooling the brakes better? Or stopping debri getting in there on rally's? Always wondered what they were

Those turbofans are a really nice addons, don't they ad vibrations at speed or are they ballanced? Also how do you attach them exactly? Thanks!
