Spent quite a bit of time on the bumper with the sander today, getting all the little imperfections out ready for primer ,also got the filler applied .

Its a light coat of spray (pref black) that goes on the primer, as you wet flat the primer when all the black is gone, you know you have got rid of the impefections,hence the term "guide coat"

your guide coat if for when you wet flatten the bumper, any high or low spots wil show as the guide will either flatten away very quickly in the case of high spots, or will not rub out easly if its low

hey, ive just spent most of the aternoon looking at this project from page 1 till what it is today which is 45 & im amazed at your work, i really think that your doing a top job on it. the Body work, im in love with, im a sprayer & panel beater myself & i think you have done a cracking job spraying it mate, i couldnt of done it better myself, i really am chuffed to bits by this project, im looking forward to seeing this at a few shows this summer. I also think Rosso Red is the best colour that it could be. Credit to you mate. keep it up, would love to chat to ya more about it as it has put the biggest smile on face ive ever had.
