just read the thread mate.Top quality car mate. I think id of prefered the look of it with the comps in a darker shade or even gloss black. Cant go wrong with the standard look though. Shame about people trying to ruin the thread cos they've had their brain washed by tuners who've already "tested everything there is to test" and know everything there is to know. I think if you've got the option for als and lc i think you should at least try them mate...if you really dont like them surely its just a matter of turning them off? but like i said mate....lovin the motor
It's been fun building it and getting it to where it's at! It's been quite fun with the amount of cars it's suprised but all good things come to an end.
If i could afford the insurance my Golf would be up for sale now! This car is just pure comedy, a proper laugh. Fair play Andy and Daz, you built a little monster.
insurance for me and daz me as the policy holder with 2 years no claims. Clean license is 600 quid. Some one wanna buy it, i dont want some chav to end up with it.
why that? the money being asked for it is S1 and cosworth money.
Im not for one moment suggesting the cars not worth the money being asked, only that its unlikely that many people would wish to pay that in most cases, which is a shame.
Others would rather have a shite cossie than a great escort because of the badge.
More people have champagne ideas and lemonade pockets these days... most decent cars end up being broken because of this fact

Im running a very similar spec engine in my cabby and get no problems with charge temps, even with ALS and NOS what intercooler is it running and what sort of temperatures do you see ?
Can post a pick of my engine if you want, just don't want to be a thread hijacker

Like AJC says, the old cooler was a ProAlloy and temps were getting up to 60 degrees. Now it's on a GRS, they are rarely above 20. NOS is a very cold gas which will cool the charge temperature by the way. Also ALS should only affect the exhaust gas temperatures.
Anyone who want a proper spec car for cheap money will buy it. Or rather should I say that someone who recognises the cost of putting a car like this together will appreciate that 5800 is little money to ask for such a car.
