hi dan, snap mine is a S13 facelift too.
yes nice motor and well cheap.
i worked thurs night 10 pm till 6 am
rushed to newport train station about 25mins away to catch the 7am train to liverpool, had to change in bristol.
got to the car about 11 am and then drove home, hit all the traffic etc there was to be had but it never got hot, smoked or missed a beat, just shy off 200 miles trip home to the garage and all way happy if very tired.
got the car home about 4pm i think it was.
1...I am sorting a FULL goose for it today, 2 x 3" round pipes,
2...prppoer induction pipe and cold piping,
3...full service and all belts and trans/diff fluids,
4....get its all tracked and balanced up,
5....strip out interior of needed less crap,
6....tidy some paint work and some lairy graphics lol
get some track time under my belt and as i go along
few more suspension upgrades,FMIC,fuel pump, chip, some more wheels and tyres, brakes but all these are new at the mo if just std,
not going mad power wise 200-230 end figure.
will keep the post updated when and if and of course pics too.
thanks for the interest dan,if u got them put some pics and details up of yours.

Sounds good mate, wait till Stavros see's this thread, he'll have you doing all sorts to it!
Mine was Red aswell, totally standard except a piper backbox I chucked on it which I had lying around, had to do this as the original one was nackered and wouldn't of passed an MOT!
I bought mine for Ł600, did a crank regrind and top end rebuild, didnt cost much as did it myself, sold the car 18 months later for Ł1100 I'd have bought another one if it wasn't for drifters pushing the prices up!
Couple of pics for you

Personally, even though ive got a mental one, i think they dogpoo as standard so obv cant give it all the "awesome work, wise choice mate" stuff
Full mongoose for that money was good work though
Plans for it sound wise, though IMHO lairy graphics will make it a joke unless its got the looks inside and out to match.
May as well pop down the motorfactors and buy some CA18 big end bearings anytime you got a free minute, youl need em, lol

I too heard the bottom ends are weak but have a spare motor so no biggie, and the 1 in the car is a low miler from a 180sx.
the mad graphics etc where a joke steve......tiger stips or spots wont really suit it.how is your 200 done any events etc yet ???
its having matt black roof/top half yes and some tlc to the rest.
yes in std trim they are not great but what is ???
where u ever impressed with a boggo std rst and their brakes
anyway car came in cheap as due to the matt red finish, simple as.
the exhaust is off a local guy who "plays" with BIG power nissans all the time and has bits and spares coming out of his RS.
a good S14 gearbox Ł100 sir
good coil packs Ł5 each etc
front and rear sturt braces Ł30 the pair
skyline front calipers with braided hoses to suit Ł60
this wont be a huge expence build by far !!
ps. exhaust going on in the next few hours

Events? Its still in bits And if you mean competitions, you must seriously underestimate the standards if you think you can just bowl up and compete!
Last practice day my car attended was late 2005 I think

Fair play for getting on with stuff, idve took 3months to bother getting round to it as ever
EDC is big budget and big skills, but Eurodrift and UKDC is easy possible to get good results in a fairly basic car if you got PROPER good skills.
Jeek off here qualified 3rd and finished 4th in the 1st Round of Eurodrift on the weekend in a 24valve Saff with a spec a lot lower than most the Saff Cossies on here.
Unlike most motorsports its 90% skills and 10% what car you got, which is most the reason I like it.
About learning, to start its deffo safer at a practice day, but IMHO streetos the best way to improve if you got the bottle, almost all the top drifters in the UK would never be as good as they are if they wasnt out all the time diffing it up at night.
20mins seat time once a month at a practice day might give you the jist of it, but the quickest way to improve is to get as much driving as you can.
Its ALL about seat time.

I had a bargin with my last one. It cost me Ł400 as a non runner on ebay. The starter was shagged, went up to London, bump started it and drove it home. Paint was lovely, engine was a JDM import, no rust at all, mint interior, 78k on the clock and over 1k's worth of recipts for an engine rebuild done in the last year. Was a bargin, only thing other than the starter was the rear bumper had warped where it'd been sitting agaisnt a wall.
This is how it ended up before I sold it.
I sold a goose for Ł60 Parts are crazy cheap compared to other cars. I want mine back.
May I suggest getting uprated anti-roll bars. I had some Whiteline ones and the handling difference is amazing.

Dont get a S13/S14/S15 LSD if you planning on any drifting, they suck as bad as Cossie and RST ones.
Regarding plugs, use Saab 9000 turbo ones, they same as S13 ones but 1 heat range colder, good for over 300bhp and about 20quid from halfords
Get the S13 NGK part number, think it ends in a 6, and get the same number but 1 grade up, making it a 7, possibly and 8, i forget, deffo not a 9/10/11 as they badass racing/rotory plugs.

i have been offered a 1.5 way "nismo" diff but told its not nice on the road and would lock too easy on braking on the track.
saab plugs it is then,i will look into those asap thanks.
how much difference did your skyline brakes make to the 200 ???
they look lots better lol

Cant imagine where you got that bonnet/roof/boot idea from, lol...
Looks smart tho.
1.5way diffs are nothing IMO, even 2ways are fine, all it means is there is some LSD effect on deceleration too, not much tho. With standard viscous diffs the car will never be anything but poop IMO, decent diffs makes the world of difference.
Never driven my car on the Skyline brakes, only did it as i needed to go 5stud for the wheels i wanted.
Meant to work well tho, so if your overpowering the stock brakes, it could be worthwhile.
