Hello all
Well ive finally finished the bay after a week of frustrating but yet wonderful cosworth ownership, it really has been a where theres pain theres pleasure week ( i hope some lucky sod had a lot of pleasure for my pain ) Anyway those of you that frequent and post in the escort cosworth room will know that this week has been very difficult for me as the car would not turn or fire following the work ive done but huge huge thanks to L3 COS & RADMAN and it now runs and goes like it used too!!!
Anyway heres some pics ive taken over this week.
Attached the EDIS module to the bracket and put the carbon fibre cover id made onto it. Also tidied the loom tape up and cleaned the multi-plug connections.
I had this multi-plug cover made last year so i polished this back up and re-attached it into position
I treated the car to a new Bosch silver battery to replace the one that was on it when i bought it, this had also gone flat over the winter months. Cleaned up all the stainless steel and tidied up all of the bloody cables theres so many!!! so put cable tidy round them and colour coded the tidy in red and black.
I then re-attached the fuel lines which im very pleased with. the braided has so much more presence than the standard black lines and along with blue p-clips and hose finishers also stands out. This part of the car took a lot of time and im happy with what it took.
Also neatened up the injectors and attached the chrome clips to them.
Decided to tidy up the hoses a bit down the turbo side and am very happy with this setup under there now.
this is the inlet side complete im really pleased and its turned out exactly how i had imagined it all those months ago
Got to the car on wednesday and it had peed down during the night, i was gutted when i got there but it did look nice with rain on it ( not that it'll see much again ) so i took a quick pic
Got it back together during wednesday and thursday. The thermostat is now fixed after 2 days of trying to stop it leaking, it was a bitch of a job to do and had me and dad in bits, 9 attempts using the original ford gaskets and all sorts of things but now finally its done and doesnt leak a drop
heres some of the bay finally completed and how i dreamt it would be
Then went a bit david bailey and took a few of the car with the number plate finally on.
Final pic is off my dad doing the Jeremy Clarkson Loser sign as he thinks im sad and calls me the king of bling! But his driveways cleanish now so my ass is safe for a while longer , i think he loves the car as much as me really and hes has been awesome this week helping me out
Still got a few bits and bobs to do but thankfully nothing under the bonnet
Thanks All
See you at the shows
