ive allways loved these things tbh , grew up in a ford family that allways had mk2's,
this ones been under restoration for nealy 10 years by the previous owner who lost interest .
i have just managed to buy a donor car so looks like it,l be getting finished real soon
col, mine is the 2.8i ghia x executive 39thou on the clock
carpet needs a fookin good clean but apart from that all the interior has been re connolised or replaced with new , even the woodwork has been replaced with walnut

allready got the hydraullic pumps from my last lowrider , considering the player rims but probably go 19's or 20's to bring it a little more up to date . i allready have a set of original diamond cut rims but they just dont do the car justice imho

ok managed to get a bit more done yesterday . i had some help from a couple of mates which made it much easier, not to mention the missus making tea for us all
i managed to buy a donor 2.8 ghia estate last monday on ebay and tbh the engine is bloody sweet . bodywork leaves a little bit to be desired but who gives a toss .
we managed to get the engine out of both cars , steam clean the new one and paint it aswell as putting my old sump on the donor engine due to a dubious repair by a previous owner . also managed to get the brake servo and pipes run and fitted , the calipers fitted and a couple of clips for the sunroof runner also got replaced .
after lining up the torque converter bolts and bolting the new motor in we managed to changed the bottom pullys for my chrome ones . then it got dark and thats as far as the story goes so far .
hopefully be finished on easter weekend

been busy again today , things went a little better than last weeks effort .
spent most of the day under the bonnet , its taking longer than i thought it would but i supose considering the amount of crome and polished bits'n'bobs its going too .
we did make a stupid mistake today ! we put the rocker covers on the wrong sides but it didnt take long to realize .
the most time consuming part of the day was having to tap out all the bolt holes from where parts had been painted in 2pack and clogged the threads.
pictures will give you some idea.
and a couple of the car with its new shoes , they arent staying white tho .

SHE'S ALIVE !!!!!!!
faaaark me its been one hell of along weekend . friday , sunday and today have been non fukin stop .
as you might have guessed its running , it was running yesterday but like shit and amazingly only when the fuel pump was disconnected due to a dodgy fuel distributor being jammed open in the full throttle position and overfueling .
we have managed to fit all the injection system - the exhausts - the rad and header tank/pipes - the temporary alternator(my ones at the chromers with a few other bits) - all the other bits n bobs that were needed tp get it running. We also fitted the electric windows - replaced the central locking solenoids - built up and fitted the seats and replaced the fooked seat motors - got the mirrors working, the lights working , the leccy sunroof working, the windscreen wiper motor fitted and working , the boot solenoid working, the heater working, the horns fitted and working aswell as washing the carpets with stain removing cleaner .
yes its been busy but i think it was worth it . eve if we did drink way too much whilst doing it
