new braded brake lines front to back. Then I need to get the cam put back in the cam belt on, setup the cam trigger get the rad in, intercooler in, all water pipes need connecting header tank needs fitting thermostat housing needs to go on. Im still waiting for the inlet manifold to come back from porting and then it needs powdercoating also want to aeroquip all the fuel lines.
Thanks its lots of work but at least I know all the rust is gone from back there and also its easy to keep an eye on if any comes back
Thanks mate
Right update time again.
Beam ready to go back on
shock fitted
beam fitted with its nice solid beam mounts
Im still waiting for a load of stuff to come back from stove enameling but hopefully the car will be on its wheels tomorrow so I can get on with some of the stuff at the front end that I dont need to wait for or pay for.

Just come in after what felt like a good days work on the car. I started early this moring well early ish, got the car back on its wheels which just required fitting the brake disks bolting the wheels on and lowering it down to the ground, once this was done I was able to push it out of the garage and get to the engine for the first time in over a month. First job was to fit my cam trigger to the freshly drilled and tapped cam, get the cam back in the engine and fit the cam belt, This all went well, I was partucularly nervous about tourquing up the cam tensioner as last time I was at this stage the stud pulled out of the head, this time it was ok.Few!!
the next series of jobs was get the cam cover on, fit the thermostat housing, fit the water pipe running from the housing to the heater
I think it went in quite well. The next job was re fit the radiator intercooler and turbo cooler, had to trim the new bit i had welded on the cooler but its all good.
then it was get the header tank in and the swirl pot and make up the pipe for this
last but not least was to start making a template for my air filter heat shield.
next is purchase a few new murry clamps for the different size hoses, collect my inlet manifold from being ported and get it powder coated and many other things i cant remember.
Big thanks today to rich for supplying me with an m4 bolt and my friend Domonic for his endless assistance putting the car together and supplying the tea.

Another small update, This evening i received the rest of my parts back that where away being blasted and stove enameled.
re assembled the fuel pump cradel and re fitted it, I may yet replace the link hose from the pump to the filter with a nice new braded item.
also got the diff back on, still lots to do front and back

I spent a bit more time on the car yesterday, got the fuel tank fitted, the support brackets for the beam mounts fitted and also the rear ARB, then as it was such a nice day I thought i should get the car out of the garage for the first time this year.
and a few pics of the front now I can stand more than a few feet away from it.
got the car dusted off when it was outside and also took the fuel and brake lines off from underneath ready for replacement.
