Paul Johnson now owns the Focus shell it came out of/was going into and the last time i spoke to Ian he'd bought an Evo and i'm hearing rumours of a MASSIVE power engine for that

you'd be right on that ians evo is around 700-750 brake and that was back in september but he hadn't got round to taking standard engine out then and putting big brake in!

i know ian very well and i know that hes building a serious engine for his evo 700+ bhp , so everyone watch this space. good look even though youve turned to the darkside mate!
area six motorsport will most probably be a well know evo tuner aswell as a ford tuner in the near future
GOOD LUCK!

Not wanting to get into a big debate but you have to look at the power his record holding engines have developed! He cant be that bad!

As far as I know he doesnt preclaim to be an engineer, he works for Anglain water! I think he see's himself as an engine builder hobby/sideline type thing. I have known him for years and havnt ever had a problem with him and his stuff to me has ALWAYS done what it says on the tin! For that reason I will defend him.

are you talking out your fuckin arse or what! ,dans right in what he says he might not be an engineer but i he can bolt a crackin engine together and he also dont have the big resources that the likes of mountune etc have. also his engines have produced more and more bhp each time on the dyno i might add , not some fuckin idoit taking shit down the pub claiming 9million bhp from a 1.1 . i also think that paul roberts 280bhp fiesta still holds a u.k record and paul johnson holds the fastest fwd ford to date 179.1mph so shall we leave your silly quote there!
p.s i hope you enjoy your pint!

I was there when he did it and have got to say the moment they were waiting for the laptop to calculate the times and Dave Moore turning to Paul and saying 'Thats it mate, you have the record 179.8' was an insperation, perhaps why I have pissed the cash I have! I certainly went home that day thinking I need to either rethink things or get out the game! LOL!

Hows the cage work coming along?
why does everyone seem to think they always know better , the proof is in the pudding ,rick might be an expert and a good engineer (i was only joking about the pint and the 9 million bhp from a 1.1) so why isnt he congratulating ian on his success? iam the first person to admit i dont know everything about cars but its always a learning process .
whats the reason for his comments?

the cage is coming on well so he says! . hes cutting the boot floor out for the diff ,finishing the boxing on the crosses, seam welded the underside, or he better had as iam popping round next week on the sly!
iam going for a andrew gallagher style focus rear end on the mk6 so there alot of work ahead!.wrc cradle on the front yeh!
andrew gallagher well done mate quality car and and a wicked build
i also never get tired at looking at the pics of your car

I don't personally know the answer to that - there aren't particular bits of paper you can get for road car tuning as such- but i do know that in all my dealings with him he was utterly professional and his engines make the numbers and times

certificates ! i think ians cars and engines hold some very impressive certificates,
there called dyno sheets 536bhp (well done mr dan arrowsmith)
fwd top speed records 179.9mph p.johnson
fwd 0-60 records 4.39secs p.roberts/p.johnson
fastest ford 0-100mph in 9.5 secs which still holds the record! p.roberts

is that enough or would you like some more!
