The more castor the more the car feels like it wants to pull the steering wheel straight.

just a litle update now. All the powerflex bushes have been fitted on the front and rear aswell as a uprated rear diff hanger. Also gave it a paint underneath as it was looking a little shabby.

It was good. It doesn't half wear your tyres if its a hot day. Last time I didnt notice that much wear but this time I am probably going to need new rubber. The heat wasn't a problem for the engine and temps seemed to be good which is surprising for a 205gti rad and std 4x4 intercooler. I did have 2 problems one was the throttle cable snapping early in the afternoon and had to crawl 1/2 a lap back to the pits and the other was the gear selector was getting more and more awkward to cange gear. We have now dropped the box out and founf the problem was the clip that goes around the gear selector just going into the box was deformed and was catching the gearbox casing. Also 2 out of the 4 bolts holdin the linkage to the box had stripped so we are going to helicoil it.

Who's organising the day on the 20th August. How is the xr2t coming along.

I am impressed with their work after having one. I have always been a fan of their work which I have seen in the mags years ago. Did you buy yours already converted or did you commision them yourself. I know they aren't cheap to get done.

UPDATE FOR MARCH 2013:

I have literally just bought this very same car, the owner in this thread sold it to a you guy near me who didn't do anything much other than a new bonnet and had the engine set up. (he had it from 2007 to 2013 I think)

I am now going to rebuild the car and tone it down a little more, the carbon fibre splitter and roof spoilers are gone and I am about to pick up a complete standard interior to use all the trims (will have some nice Cossie style recaros trimmed up in leather) the M3 mirrors will be off this weekend with std 205 phase 2 gti in place. Body work is going to have a full repaint and MAD are going to fit a complete new after market ecu and probably a new Borg Warner twin scroll turbo and manifold.

I have been speaking to allard today and they are going to make up a nice new fuel tank. I am then putting in a touchscreen Kenwood satnav double din head unit.

Soundproofing is going in and a new carpet trim and roof lining. May be going Stack dash if funds allow.

Goes well now on 300-350 bhp and hope for closer to 380 - 450 with the new ecu and turbo....just looking if rs500 intercooler can be crammed in.

Oh yes......the rear windows are being picked up Tomorrow.

Will do some pics as the car progresses, it is a case of breaking eggs to make an omelette at the moment so will look scabby for a bit. I have found quite a bit of redundant wiring and old mounts etc so plan to pair back what is not needed.

Still on 4x4 box, why do you ask?

Feels tight as a drum and has still only done 35,000 miles from when built...massive history file too.

Don't worry, it has been sideways already once, and it will get out of shape again before I am done.

Thanks for all the comments. I have just picked up a mint phase 2 205 interior in black and got the window surrounds and wing mirrors etc....I will take a lot of pics and add them to this thread as I go.
