the garage is 10ft x 18ft, its not too bad to work on it Lee.
i would of like more too but thats all i could have without blocking the kitchen window too.
i have a long drive which will get covered over and a garage door put at the start of the path, then it will be good for working on the es cos then.
its better than nothing though.

they are commanding good money as everyone seems to be going old school and big power.
maybe they are a bit too overpriced but if they sell them...
JonnyBravo
thanks mate, may be sometime before its complete lol.
where's your resto thread.

defo go for forest or the monte arches wider the better to an extent
go for the quafie shafts what dingy has got on his car now
my mate lee bought some american uprated shafts and they were like chocolate bent one at the first corner around bruntingthorpe i couldn't belive it nearly messed up his ap rear brakes
he has gone the dingy route now

I'm not a huge fan of the Forest arches anymore, got bored of the look of the Revs Escort I had.
I was going to go down the Monte look but again the wheels dont fill the arches unless you go for huge expensive deep dish rims.
I think the Tarmacs look right as you can get perfect fitment rims to fill them which gives the car more prescence imo.
I've got some 8x15 and 9x15 Minilites although I wouldn't mind some very wide split rims or even some Mo's
Marco I heard about Lee's shafts, put me off using those so I'm using the Quaife ones, its a bit odd Lee's broke considering what the company make shafts for

will be speaking to Dingy on the 29th over his axle.
tarmac arches will do me i think as i'm only running 8x15 rims on it.
See you on the 29th Marco.
JonnyBravo
i found your post.
have to get working on it though.
all the best for the new year mate.

jonny
i personally belive his was poor casting as the metal looked pourus where it broke , he then got another new one fitted and then the other side broke so he fooked them off i dont blame him for that
i never told him what shafts to get because i didn't know what to use
because when we fitted mad engines into these cars we use to go for the ford 8.8 /9"mustang axels and then have them shortend ....that was the easyest way years ago and they never ever break

I did see the picture of the snapped halfshaft Marco and it looked like poor casting
After breaking 2 I would of gone elsewhere too, much easier to use what is proven, and quaife are usually faultless.

Here are a few pics of the bits that will be going on the car.
i mainly bought bits so i can get it all prepared and then get it in to get sprayed.
ended up buying a few other bits too that i didn't need just yet but i could not help it.
first are the tarmac alloy arches and the front spoiler, not too wide but the wheels will fill them nicely.
wheels next....8 x 15 comp ml's, these were the widest they do in 15".
a few body bits...
big rear diff tunnel.
big gearbox tunnel
alloy battery holder.
seat mounts.
Heavy duty 4 link kit.
Crossmember chassis studs,
fuel tank platform with straps.
part of the watts linkage, did not have the rest in stock so i got the mounts so these can be welded in.
part of the firewall kit.
body strengtheners.
chassis gussets.
Ralloy fuel tank and filler neck.
Rounded rear turrets.
Ralloy alloy front strut brace.
thats it for now.
still got to pick a few more bits up from RACE so the shell can go away to get done.
just got to give the shell a good clean inside too,got to get the sound deadning off the floors too then clean underneth, that should do it then.
no sure when the next update will be,have to save up a bit more for the next part.
