Volvo lump is normally aspirated so will be less power but more drivable

Did the best 1/4 RWD of the day until some guy pulled up in a 8 liter corvet drag car with nos

Managed an 11.1 and drove it there and back which was over 200 miles round trip

I was only running 25psi that day

I managed a 11.08 before I got bored and decided on a change of engine

engine was 80% mapped at the time running a tad rich at 25psi so clearly a 10 sec car if I'd of stuck at it and done some more tweeking

It needed more advance but was set safe on the ignition

I ran Avon ACB10's in 245 in the vid

I now run Kuhmo V70 soft compound in 235 which are alot better tyre IMO

The avons are great for smooth tracks but thats it as they are cross ply (very light too)

The Kuhmo are a great all round tyre for road and racing, they absorb bumps ALOT better and have a better feel when driving as they are radial design

A change in direction to put the volvo 5 cyl nasp motor in the car means I have lost interest in the Zetec ST170 lump, It was planned for another RWD car but that is a long way off if it were to ever happen

Great looking engine!

Can I ask why the cylinder head was further modified to flow 183.2 cfm @10" (305 cfm @ 28")?
Was this going to ba a 9000+ rpm build?
Very curios.

Hope to hear from you.

Dose anyone else make these pullys bud or could you do another set?

Will Pedley Racing is a good source of lots of 'sensible' Zetec parts. More than he has time to put on his site.

love the build, got some talent there, would you be able to make me a carbon fibre plate like if i paid you for one, absolutly love it

I can get you a plate cnc machined from alloy as per the picture, made a few for people now.

I ran out of the carbon to do another one like mine, its too expensive to buy 4mm solid pre-preg carbon nowadays

Both engines aren't finished yet, but there not far off.

They will get finished eventually but unfortunately they have slid down my list of projects.

Got a couple of quad bikes I'm rebuilding with all trick stuff on.

Don't make turbo inlets anymore, too busy trying to finish my own stuff off.

So its been a while since I last posted

Loads of other garage projects and a new family has meant this project stalled a few years ago and I will never get the time to finish it properly.

To make my life easier I've decided to revert back to using my ST170 turbo motor in the Westfield.

Everything Volvo related that is listed in this thread will be for sale.

PM me for more information if interested in parts or as a whole package
