my fiesta turbo restoring her j660cfu

Hi everyone here's some pics of my fiesta rs turbo does anyone recognise the reg j660cfu.
This is how it use to look:

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g87/l33bo/crop2.jpg

then when i brought it the engine was noisey top end so got it to my work and me and my mate striped the engine it needed big ends and mains the end to the engine was santa pod running 1/4 milein 14.5 secs, so i got a new crank and bearings had crank reground and polished, replaced everything all new gaskets seals core plugs. brought an uprated oil pump and had new mahle low comp pitons and new piston rings:

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g...o/stage2t3.jpg

Had new stage 2 t3 with bigger impalor to go with the stage 2 head and kent 35 cam felpro headgasket. my mate timed the engine up to the spec kent say it should be with the kent vernier pulley, i had new water pump and cambelt kit etc. then it was timwe for the body work my mate john reid who rebuilt the engine formerly off collins motorsport cut all the rust out and welded new sills and where the rust use to be:

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g...PIC_0261-1.jpg
https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g...PIC_0263-1.jpg.
Then i put car on the road to run engine in and get my 1000miles out of the way. then i thought i'd replace the bumpers and put the standard ones with the green piping back on so i brought som eof a guy on ebay: before and after:

Now came the time for the respray and the new rear arches and filler cap also here a few pics of how the engine looks now:

Also decide to return the seats to srandard as they had cobra sidewinders fitted, so got some of ebay again. and now the car is in my mates bodyshop being repainted etc

Looks much better with the standard bumpers back on , but you WILL need more air flow ;) not just power wise, but theres no point having a BIG cooler if theres no air getting to it. Just a pointless mod if thats the case;)

jfrst 04-08-2006 09:57 PM

been told by collins that it will be fine how it is now same as i say the power is no diiferent since i fitted the standard bumpers back on it i will post some pics of her 2moro built up almost just got to put the arch kit and side skirts back on and green piping :top:
