CheeRS........Rob

Does this kit need any other changes to the ECU or wiring to work and where can I get one. :)

The DIVA 31-03-2006 09:33 AM

PERKELE

This conversion will hopefully be available from Motorsport Developments again soon(think they are currently out of stock, but it`s worth a phone call)

Everything you need is shown apart from a 2nd ignition amplifier.

Apart from the coilpack driver,no other mods are required to your ecu or software.... :top:

How does the system know whick side of the coil pack to ignite? Don't the dizzy normally deside the cylinder to ignite and the ECU doesn't know anything about the ignition turn just when to start charcing and igniting.
Anyway do you have a link for the company so I can ask if they deliver stuff to Finland? Altavista gave too many different links when searched for "Motorsport Developments"
"edit"
Actually I just found probably the correct link http://www.motorsport-developments.co.uk :D

Update later.... :top:

The DIVA 25-04-2006 07:52 PM

Wnet to Central day on Sunday and Mr Scott and his powers of persuasion relieved me of a few bob for one of these beauties... :top:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics068.jpg
These are the best quality i have come across yet and have billet machined ends and a nice angle where the throttle body mounts to enable easier lining up with the intercooler....

Also got fleeced by Matt Lewis for some nice blingy bits....

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics070.jpg

Blingy Grp A copy power steering tank and a proper dual ign amp bracket with proper captive nuts and stuff..... :top:

And how nice is this....

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics069.jpg

This is the same one that Mike Rainbird sells and the quality is mega, and the price aint bad either.... :top:

CheeRS chaps...........More money in the pit..

rstoughy 25-04-2006 09:37 PM

Some nice bits there Robbie

*UPDATE*

Got the dash out yesterday to sort a few minor issues.......And fook me. .......Wish i`d never started... :(

My car has a Clifford concept 600 with all the bells and whistles but it looks like it was fitted by Stevie Wonder.. :wall:

I have never seen such an appaling install in my life, and i`ve seen a few having been a cat 1 system fitter for many years....The whole lot will have to come out and start again adding about 10+hours to the job.....I wish incompetent people with no fooking idea would get jobs more siuted to there talent... :wall: :wall:

Well thats rant over,i was fooking fuming last night and i know how people see there arse and break there projects now...

Apart from that, things are going ok,will post up some pics of the appaling install later as a warning to people to use a quality company for security...

Now off to speak to Stu@BSC for some info and hope he can get new looms.... :top:

More later.......

Sticky. 27-04-2006 08:53 AM

This is the fooking mess of a clifford install i have removed today..

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics072.jpg

will sort it out properly before refitting it correctly... :top:

And this is what you need to weed out of a large turbo escos loom.....................

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics073.jpg

To fit one of these.....

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...siepics074.jpg

Custom made one off full engine loom for big turbo escos, with coilpacks, wrc cam trigger, lambda etc..........Bit of a bitch to fit because you have to weed the car loom of all the engine stuff, but well worth it to get the job 100% right... :top: :top:

Courtesy of Ryan of course..  Cheers mate..

Got all the engine bay completely stripped out today ready to go into the paintshop, removed the stupid aircon gubbins,to be replaced by a std heater fan motor and pulled all the loom into the car so the bay can be painted properly.......

Feel like we are making progress at last...... :DD:

Twins 06-05-2006 07:45 PM

Nice bits there ,loom looks lush :top:

Munch 06-05-2006 07:51 PM

And it`s reassuring to know that there is no more 13 year old goosed wiring running the engine now so hopefully it might be reliable.........

Maybe....

Dan 06-05-2006 08:40 PM
