Default Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Thursday, what a fantastic show!!! So much to see and do and track action all day. There was every type of car and motorbikes from vintage to modern and you can get right up to them in the pits.

The speed some of them were going up the hill climb was spectacular and noisy especially the older F1 cars. There was also static displays of all the major car makers and F1 teams.
There were a few tasty Fords going up the hill including RS200, Quad cam Capri,Escort Cos , RS500 Touring car and Mustangs.
Did anyone on here go as well?
This Capri sounded awesome and went really fast

Nice RS200

Ken Blocks monster Focus RS rally car.

Goodwood House with the F1 cars statue.

1960s Gold Leaf Cosworth engined F1 car

Ferrari F1 car

Early Ferrari F1 car

Escort Cosworth

On Thursday when I was there the shoot out up the hill was won by a left hand drive American Subaru Impeza with over 600bhp. This is the one that did the very fast lap of the Isle of Man TT circuit before the bike races got going. It was up against big V8s etc but beat them all with a 48 second run.

Not sure, but when we left at about 5.30pm it was saying the Subaru was the Quickest. Bloody impressive though even if it did come second!

It was my first time there but it was so well organised and so much to see . A lot of other shows could learn from it!! The car parking was easy and getting in and out was good, they even had tractors with trailers to take people to the show site and back again. On the way out they were giving everyone who wanted it alcohol free cans of cold beer!! Nice touch on a hot day!!

Its an amazing show, don't think there's any other show in the uk that compares, I wasn't convinced myself until I first went in 2013, havn't missed one since!
Does anyone have any info on the zakspeed capri? it broke down Friday and wasn't seen again, looking at it im thinking it may be a good replica?
