Default My Sierra's maiden US voyage

When I imported my Sierra Estate I picked it up from the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California. Long Beach is right next to Los Angeles. Here are some pics of it.

My Sierra wants to be a star but it is still a D-Lister for the time being
The house is from the Fast and the Furious movies.
My very first pic of it at the port. You can see the horde of new Mercedes waiting to be delivered to their dealers in the background.

I also took it to a Ford dealer
dealership to get an oil change done. My estimated time of 1 hour became 2 hours because all of the techs and some salesman came by the shop to look at it.

One ambitious salesman offered me to trade it in for a Focus RS. I said only a straight trade. That shut him up quite quickly.

This is a replica plate of its last registered number given when it still lived in Trier, Germany.

None because the car is 25 years old I can import it without any regard to US vehicle regulations.

Yes of course and this one kid who saw my car when I wasn't around then saw me later sitting in the back eating runs up to me asking about it and was all excited about it.

It was weird but most Yanks think of Sierra as the GMC Sierra which is a truck so they see Ford Sierra and they think that I'm taking the piss.

That's an RS grill made for Ford by Zender. The car has the whole exterior accessories for the estates at that time. RS Grill, RS front bumper, RS side skirts and RS rear bumper. It gives it a decent stance if I do say so myself.

The wheels are also RS wheels made for Ford by Borbet.

yes, one of the "must do before you die" thing...
i think just the pic of your own car in front of F&F house is worth all the import issues you may had...
thanks for sharing that one...

Here is a recent sunset photo after washing and polishing in its final destination of Seattle, Washington.

Downtown Seattle is the tall buildings in the distance to the left.
