Default PassionBMW - F30 330d M Sport Auto **20" Ispiri FFR6s**

Got seriously bored with my Fiesta ST MP215. And got seriously pissed off with the fact my car had devalued by 55% after 18 months of ownership. So as i was looking to step up in both quantity of doors and general size, as well as ease of ownership (in running costs and purchasing costs) i had narrowed down to a C-class Merc and an F30 3series. After a test drive of an F31 320d Touring alone, i was settled on a 3 series! So searched around for either saloon or estate and this popped up at the nearest BMW dealer. Took it a test drive and the dotted line was signed. So glad to have gotten rid of the fiesta and i doubt i will ever see myself in another new Ford again!!

Anyway here is pics.

Then the car got an M Performance style extension kit - kidney grilles, front spoiler, rear diffuser, side skirt extensions and lip spoiler for the bootlid. Also got the side skirt decals custom made

Plans -
Remap it and lower it a little when the warranty runs out
Maybe change to a CSL style bootlid
Maybe change the exhaust to 340i style but quad exit.

I have an f31 330 with power pack, it is brilliant but 55% depreciation from New will be similar on these IMO.

Cheers James. Lovely thing to drive like.

Caddyshack - for what i paid for it, i doubt its gonna drop 55% of its value in 18months. If it does, i will eat my hat

S3an - its Auto with tip and flappy paddles. Not sure if its the same type of box as an M3 etc. But i doubt i will have another manual daily. Too used to the auto now

The F30s look good completely standard. But yeah the M Performance add-ons and a set of wheels add a nicer subtle change!! Do like the wheels i have, but wanted Vossen CVTs. But they are like Ł2200 before tyres ffs!! And i still find myself going back to look at getting a set!!

Love the mods you've made, I take it the suspension is currently standard? (Just trying t o get an idea of ride height and how it sits on the 20s)

If/when I sell the FRS this year a 330d is top of my list in wagon form. I'd already decided to go for the M Performance kit and black grill but now I might chance wheels too. How much were the 20s?

Is this an X Drive? So used to having a 4wd for the daily that I think I fancy it on the Beemer.

Thanks mate. Yeah its standard m sport ride height. Its a rwd (non x drive). Dont think x-drives can run staggered fitment on the wheels.

Good choice on the F31 touring. Would have loved one. But this car was too right for me at the time and im sort of glad, as the last touring i had, got treated like a van.

The wheels are Veemann VC7 8.5x20" fronts, 10x20" rears. Got them on a deal for Ł1050 on budget tyres. It was only a starting point to get the god awful stock msport wheels off the car and returned (as they where poorly refurbished by a reputable alloy wheel refurbisher in N Ireland, where i rejected them and got refunded for them by the main BMW dealer i got the car from...so essentially was Ł50 to change to the Veemanns) and as i barely do any miles at the minute because i work abroad. But when im home full time, i will be running it daily and will be investing in proper premium tyres.

I like the look of the Touring and also good for putting dog in boot as opposed to back seat which I don't really like.

Thanks fro the heads up about the x drive not being able to have staggered wheel sizes.

Sounds like you got a right result then, I want some half decent tyres to finishing it off but all looking well so far

I assume the M Performace kit is a replica kit and not from BMW? If so, did it fit on ok without any drama?

Mate fitted the kit for me. Its aftermarket and Its not perfect, but it is fine. The genuine bmw kit was literally TWICE the price and thats only for the plastic version. Bmw also do a carbon version too. But what i saved on the kit, will go towards those premium tyres

Good shout, from what I saw, you could spend thousands on the kit (must be the carbon one) and ones from mstyle cost about 400 quid so if they are half decent they're worth a bash.

Think the grey is high on my list now after seeing yours with those rims/kit (or silver or white)

Yeah Estoril Blue and White is too common. With grey you barely see the kit unless its done gloss black or colour coded - which in my opinion looks shite.

I did fancy a silver or red car to be a bit different (as they aint common colours in the F30/31 M sports) and in my opinion, if you can get red, go for it man. The red and silver look great with the kit

I have a Touring and looking to upgrade my wheels.
Looking at either 19" M4 wheels or 20" M Performance wheels.
What ET would I need for it?

Yeah Melbourne Red is lovely. But really hard to find in a decent spec. Either a loaded automatic with xenons etc, but with a shite looking cream or tan interior; or an absolutely basic spec one with black leather and manual ffs. Lol

My mate has an Estoril Blue saloon with M4 wheels done in gloss black and polished face details. And in my opinion its not a good look. He got them on the car and is gonna paint the polished bits gloss black also.

There is plenty of decent aftermarket wheels in 20" that look good mate.

There is the M Performance wheels. I genuinely thought xDrives and RWDs had different offsets!!

http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/405

My Veemanns are 8.5x20" ET35 Fronts and 10x20" ET42 Rears on a RWD (non xDrive car)

Would the wheels from an E60 / E61 in 20" fit?
Also what size tyres are you running?

Cheers mate. Have you done anything about getting an F30/F31 yet??

Im looking to change my wheels to something else and will be selling my Veemanns. My friend done a photoshop of the Veemanns onto an F30 and they look alot better on lighter coloured cars. Especially Estoril Blue.

Fancied a change of wheels for the F30 as i wasnt 100% satisfied with the Veemann VC7s. Loved them as a wheel, but didnt think they suited a Mineral Grey car!!

So i decided on a set of 20" (9" Front and 10" Rear) Ispiri FFR6s in Carbon Graphite. In my opinion they totally transform the look of the car and when i lower it at a lower date, it will finish things nicely.

And my mate tried the Veemanns on his car. Definately looks better on an Estoril blue car compared to mine

Aint driven it since wheel change Rich, but same spec as old wheels (though the Ispiri wheels themselves are alot lighter in weight as they are "Flow Forged" and carry alot less mass). So would say it would drive like it did with the Veemanns on. And it drove completely fine on them. Not really a harsh ride for having low pro tyres, which is good, considering a trait i bought the car for, was for comfort lol

Apologies for late response.

I'll get some more pics when I take it out on a proper road trip later this month.

This is the normally aspirated 6.2 V8 version (newer ones are twin turbo with smaller engine). It has been breathed on a little and has 525bhp
