Good afternoon members , thought it was time for a little update on this project ...
The car has came quite a way since 2016 , with the fitting of an Airtec cooler , boost pipe kit , Autospecialists inlet plenum (powder coated the same as my alloys ), an Autospecialists induction kit , the reminder of Milltek exhaust (Turbo back) , &some Bosch 650cc injectors (with some denso iridium plugs for good measure) .....
I decided to just add bits as we went then have the car mapped to suit instead just stage 1 map then add parts etc. took me a little while but delighted with the way its turned out , the only problems thus far in 2016 being a snapped NSF Coil spring (exuse to fit the Eibach springs sooner than anticipated ) , and after smelling coolant whilst driving christmas day 16 , traced to a weepy radiator (upgraded AS one fitted) ....
Come october last year , i took the car to Jamsport for a 420 map , it performed faultlessly during its power run and took everything in its stride , returning a very respectable 424bhp / 511ibft of torque .
Delighted with the way the car drives now has the aggressiveness but also the smoothness i wanted at the same time .... very happy with it mechanically now for the moment so hopefully going to concentrate on some lightish underside/suspension restoration before moving onto all the other little bits i want sorted (all money pits eh )
Thanks for taking the time to read for all who were interested !

New Owner
Love it. The best colour and my favourite rs focus with the 5 pot. Great torque 511lb/ft is awesome. Must go pretty well with that and give plenty of fast cars a good run. Very nice

Boost addict
great to see you on here updating this ross mate.
as iv told you over on fb iv really enjoyed watching the progress of this motor over the last year or so, i think you will agree that the end result was more than worth waiting for.

Cheers pal ! Yes nips along now has character just like I wanted ! - I tend not to properly thrash it in higher gears yet as is still on the standard clutch / flywheel set up - it suffers from a bit of wheelspin / torque steer but thats part of the fun I think
