I'd love to see it head to head vs this

Glenn_ 24-09-2014 04:21 AM

Both the Nissan and Honda are impressive.

its about 2000 hp

60 - 130 in 2.46 seconds, I thought my 5.49 seconds time was good going, that thing is from another planet fast :god:

madsi 24-09-2014 01:28 PM

not bad:cry:

Fullflush 24-09-2014 06:17 PM

I think the Honda's are 'only' 1300-1400bhp, but weigh a lot less

Chip 24-09-2014 06:21 PM

The GM fwd cars running 6s were doing it with 1400bhp ecotec lumps.4wd sucks for drag racing so that gtr is very impressive to still be so quick.

gjh 24-09-2014 07:53 PM

Jesus! Its mad to think how quick cars are getting with some tuners,

Why is that? I'd of thought being able to distribute power to all four wheels would be far better for traction in drags?

Fullflush 24-09-2014 09:33 PM

I don't think the Hondas are that far behind on the 60ft times. After that the 4wd is eating some of the power and adding weight

zetecbeast 24-09-2014 10:24 PM

I read somewhere that AMS had $250,000 in that GTR...

that civic is unreal though. What a beast :DD:

fezzajsy 25-09-2014 07:03 AM

Because in the context of big floppy drag slicks a pair is plenty for laying the power down anyway if the weight is laid out right, so having to drive 4 wheels instead is just extra transmission losses, extra friction losses for the rest of the track and extra weight.

If they were all running on normal road tyres (I mean on Toyo T1R or something not "road legal" drag tyres), then 4wd would win.

CossieRich 25-09-2014 11:30 AM

That's obscene. :top:

Awesome.
That is one beast of an Impreza :top:

NEIL A 12-10-2014 02:40 PM

Andy Forrest's car is a crazy all rounder, runs 7 second 1/4's, 200+mph and recently lapped knockhill quicker than the AG focus.

gjh 12-10-2014 03:14 PM

It is mental, just look at the speed at the 1/8 mile!
