Vmax quicksilver. Enjoy some mega fast cars doing what they do best maybe next year mine will get amomgst these boys. I would love to enter several Fords so at least think about it.
Some very fast cars here with several over 200mph at Brunters. The GT40 with 720bhp is a challenger for fastest Ford but only the Porsche would kick my Cossies butt.

Your right was refused entry to Terminal Velocity in 2005 when i entered the Cossie. I replied my car would run 200+ & received an entry as a joke, they didnt laugh for long .
I can get entrance to this event its cars we are short of not entrance .

The Porsche pushes 1350bhp the next around 720bhp thats a huge Power difference. Its 90% about grunt & 10% gearing to optimize how fast you can go in 1.5 miles. If your Cossie has 720bhp it will join the 200 brigade if it has 820 it will set a new Cossie Topspeed record give it 1300bhp & it will be on the tail of that Porsche. SIMPLES!!!

Craig tends to keep it to known performance cars. Before the 5th gear programme im sure i would have had much the same response.
Craig has recently sold out to a Supercar Forum so entry may be more difficult now unless you have contacts.

They were shocked for sure. The factory development AMG was there. He told me later that he could not understand why a sub 150mph Ford would enter. We ran 206 the Merc 187.
3 cars from the modded car scene entered. Joel & Naddine in Vipers & my Cossie. We came 1st 2nd & 4th split by a Porsche who had won it the year before. The event was never held again .

Some of the cars like the aventador are they standard? if so then this is a bit pointless as everyone knows they car do 200+ out of the box the same with most of the modern ferraris etc. Is it only highly tunes cars that can enter?

Your not getting the distance they do it in. Dont know of any Production Ferrari that will reach 200mph in 1.5 miles even an Enso/599 cant do that. A Macca 1 just made 200mph at Brunters as did the Aventador. The other cars are there to see what there cars can do legally not beat the highly tuned cars. This event is just a long quarter mile its not a Topspeed finding event you would need a 4 mile straight to do that think the Macca took over 5 to reach its Topspeed. A rule of thumb is you need 700bhp to do it in that distance. The best aero cars can do it with 630 a Cossie around 730 to be sure. Seen big Merc with 700bhp just tad 190mph & im sure a double decker bus would need 10k horses .

Iv been to vmax a few times. Craig who runs it is a very nice guy. I went down in a mates rs6 regularly hitting 198s

I took part in Fighting Torque 2009, (a one mile drag race) Porsches,TVR'S, Nissan GTR'S, Nobles, AMG Mercs, Ultima's. The looks (down their noses) from the owners of these cars was quite comical. When I came third only to a 1000 brake Viper and a 900 brake MGSV nobody would look me in the eyes let alone go up against me on the strip. 182.67 in the standing mile at 29.5 seconds. Makes you feel quite satisfied Oh, and this was on my running in map, circa 1.5 bar of boost
