Default Leon Cupra

Basically got rid of my oil burner and got this mk1 leon cupra, will start from the vey beggining...

Got this last thursday, done a deal on my old Mk4 ibiza tdi130 sport which had some nice bits

mk1 leon cupra, APP engine code, Has a random cone filter, Forge dump valve, and de-catted. Clean leccy leather trim, Apex Springs and a lovely gash halfords ripspeed motorised screen headunit lol which actually works really well. Also got the Full R kit on it too which i was made up about.

Lovely blank canvas to start with! hate the wheels but just had a set of OZ F1's droped off last night for it, 17 inch with seat sport stickers on the outer of the rim, random.

Will run them while i'm savig some cash for staggered CH reps.

All comments welcome chaps, cheers!

about 5 minutes after picking it up with nice flat never polished lifeless paint lol

Give is a good 3m fast cut and a 3m finesse followed by a coat of super resin, leather treated all the interior and dressed the tyres too, make it look alot more respectable for a rolling road day at Awesome GTi

:funk:

few quick phone pics of yesterdays fun!

Fault code found in vag-com, LOL

Cup holder fitted as mine was typically broken

New genuine mats, made the interior so much nicer!

Pick up blocked much?

Sump, dirty much!

CLEAN!!

Then was all bolted together and ran up, mint, jobs a goodun!!

Next was debadging the rear

Next tyrer donated his original cupra R backbox which am gonna use the Tip off so the oval fit nicer in the bumper recess, gave that a quick polish with some 800, 1200 grit wet and try and the polishing wheel with some autosol

Had another bit of an under bonnet session this afternoon, inlet off, painted satin black, TB painted satin black, engine covers done satin black... can you see the theme i've got going here... lol gave the oil cap a coat too, then decided to be a garish toer and give it a bit of a "different" finish that people wll more than likely hate lol

this character turned up again too...

I like Leon's, especially in that color...

The 2e set of wheels looks much better.

I would go for some BBS CH silver or black..

Keep update's coming, mate...

Yeah mine was pretty big spec mate, fully forged engine ported head etc 660cc injectors running gt28 turbo. The turbo was about fooked though and still made 348hp. Only reason i got shot was i wanted another cossie lol they really are good cars. If i had another id probs go ihi vf34 turbo conversion still make same power but a lot cheaper.

I'm jsut trying to decide now what turbo to go for mate, i wanna get a set of uprated rods in it and an AGU big port head, but the dilemma is get a hi-flow manifold and a K04 then run it literally on the stop. As people have been seeing decent figures from K04's lately!

Or go for an IHI or 28RS set up and bite the bullet, i cant make my mind up.

Just going to get all the supposting mods in the meantime, fuel pump, front mount, rods, head, new south inlet mani gasket, S3 MAF Cat back that can be mated to a 3 inch downpipe once the turbo choice is made. And of course some monster brakes and decent ARB set up!

Will take a while to get all my bits together but over the next 12 months the car will make a really really nice fast road car, love it as its got the full electric leather wingbacks, reversing mirror that moves etc... Really cool car, jsut need to make it PROPER power wise!

Did yours have an LSD/ATB diff?

Just got a new hose dude as the one from the inlet to the PCV was split jsut TPS'd it. Dependant on your engine code though mate awesome and other people do Silicone replacements! they jsut didnt do one for my engine code

Am planning on getting rid of it for a proper breather system tbh!
