[quote=bluntys1rsturbo;4534767]defo remember ians twin engined one was a beast

thanks for all the comments guys this car has seemed to get a great reaction from everywhere and trust me it will be properly looked after and serviced every 3k

P412KER yes the engine was sorted it had a recon head with uprated head gasket and new water pump, plugs and leads. the car fires up first time everytime and drives well just has a boost leak which is being sorted this friday. i used to know of 2 raiders from around my way not seen em for ages tho.

One of them maybee my mates as its not seen daylight for 2/12 year, going to be nice when its finally finished.

Wish i had kept mine, sold it years ago for pennies, think the lad that bought it is on here (briggsy i think from Redcar).

bailey dv24 dump valve fitted (sounds awesome imo)
GTT Ram raid induction kit and samco induction hose fitted
CGB Turbo heatsheild fitted
1.3mm Main carb jet fitted
wastegate tension tightened up (hardly had any tension)
jet bleed valve (less lag and also prevents me from killing the engine)
remove sump/clean out and refit (still no good new sump required)
Castol RS Oil and new oil filter
accelerator/choke cable oiled and clip fitted due to it sticking
Boost set to 16 psi
fuelling set up using wideband lambda

all the above done for £155

i cannot stress how good this guy is and i personally think he does himself outta money, my car is now perfect and my god its quick just taken my bro out in it and he loved it

been very eventful in the few weeks that iv owned this car it defo has lots of character lol, well known for naughty niggles eg mine has been a persistant oil leak iv replaced the sump and gaskets along with oil cooler seals and then finally replaced the pipe and clip to the oil cooler and this has seemed to virtually solve it

the car is immense and very quick its a total pleasure to drive now its running 16psi boost and gets full boost at 3k, it handles like a go kart and turns heads like anything had loads of people come up to me asking about the car and saying how much they love em

anyways next plans for the new year are as follows

take car to bodyshop (front bumper, bonnet, drivers door and round the front windscreen)
new front discs and pads
new rear discs and pads
samco oil breather hoses (4)
samco top radiotor hoses (2)
get hybrid t25 turbo fitted and boost set to 18psi
carb re jetted to suit and 0.9mm air corrector
bjr 2.5" downpipe
fuelling set up with wideband
front and rear strut braces

few things to do there its a handful now so god knows what it will be like once other things are done

Man that just makes me miss my old one like crazy! She looks a beauty mate, Tungy is gorgeous.

Don't ever sell it without giving me a shout first!

If you do go down the hybrid route and want to run more boost, make sure your cooling system is absolutely top notch, as that is when problems will start, trrust me. Mine had a hybrid and I used to run about 25psi, was fully stripped out with as much weight removed as possible, was simply violent when it came on boost, I miss that car the most out of all I've owned.

Look after it fella

dont worry it is looked after very well its in the drive now covered up think the cooling system is bang on tbh has double capacity i/c and low temp thermostat along with in car manual fan switch, mark at gt motorsport commented on how well the engine sounds especially as its done 109k.

boost wise ill prob take it to 20psi max also going get a set of samco rad hoses and oil breather hoses

hi people iv now covered and parked my car up until around mid feb time iv also disconnected the battery

when it comes back on the road first port of call will be to the bodyshop get a few bits and bobs done then ill be treating it to a good overhaul including

new front and rear brakes
new plugs and leads
new fuel filter
uprated fuel pump
samco radiator and oil breather hoses

then engine wise ill be getting the hybrid t25 fitted and set @20psi boost also a 2.5" downpipe and carb re jetted with fuelling set up to match

should be good when its back on the road
