My old XR3i Turbo-Look-a-Like
I know alot of people look down on replicas but sometimes if cash is a problem or age limits insurance replicas can be a great way of getting the look of something better without all the hassel.
The car in question was a £300 XR3i on a G, it was pretty ruff when I bought it but a good clean up was all that was needed and turned out to be a really solid car. It was only a second car as I was trying to keep the mileage down on my Cougar which was only 5yrs old so £300 didnt seem to bad to keep the use of the cat down.
Fitted the arch kit myself as well as the 90spec spoiler and painted the wheels myself too - enjoy
Sold it to a lad who clearly wasnt gona look after it but at the time Id just sold my Cougar for a Saxo VTS and didnt think I needed the 2 cars, I regreted selling it in the end but hasnt that happend to everybody lol

Looks tidy.
I have nothing against reps, the only thing I'm not keen on with reps is when they're actually badged up as what they're trying to replicate.
IE/ If it were mine, I'd change the "Escort RS Turbo" decal for badges which just read "Escort RS". Because it has RS parts on, so adding RS badges would be fine, but badging it up as something it isn't is not right IMO.
Only a personal gripe, but other than that, looks fine

Cheers, I do miss it, funny enough the missis hated the fact I never got round to fitting a radio as I wanted a Ford item and the Peco BB4 was a bit loud but of all the cars Ive had since she still seem most fond of the old 3i
It got a full set of White Sparco flaps before it went, sadly no pics of that.
This is how she started, was taken after Id spent all day cleaning her
and one with the wheels and 'stick on vents' pmsl before the kit went on
I do understand where you coming from but if its not badged up as say a Turbo then its not a real rep really, but once thing I will say is I never used to shout 'Ive Got a RST' where as other people with reps do tend to shout and try and really really pass it off, for me it was just a laugh
