It looks like something is going wrong here! Some nice pans, especially those in low light: the fence everywhere is a bloody nuisance though, isn't it?
How was the weekend? As much as I wanted to be there, I didn't feel quite so bad missing it when they said how hot it was!

I caught the moment the two cars hit each other. Yeah the fences were a nightmare this pic I placed the bike against the wall then climbed on top of that to see over the wall lol you do what you have to to get those pics lol.
It was way too hot and stopped so many times in the shade just to cool down. The first night wasn't great as we went into the Guinness bar and after our 5th beer we found that our bikes had been stolen they cut through the chains like paper but we managed to get one bike back after chasing the guy but he got away and then the other two spotted us on my bike and a friends bike, they turned round and went we chased after them but couldn't catch them.
The lady we stayed we let us borrow two bikes so we used those for the rest of the time but I was pissed as they took Ł700 worth of bikes but we did manage to get two bikes back for other people. I've just ordered a new bike for me a Cube Aim Race in grey Ł499.
Think maybe 2019 I'm going to upgrade my camera gear as the zoom on the lens I have is now struggling for the pics I want to take. Any advice on how to improve those pics I took?

Oh no, that's terrible. It's rather late to be telling you now, but one of my biggest tip for Le Mans is, if you are taking a bike (and they are mighty useful for getting around), buy the cheapest looking piece of shit you can from the local paper/Gumtree etc. And if you do manage to find something cheap that still looks half decent, spray it pink!
Bike theft is rife around the site (and camp sites): if it looks like a turd, it will probably get left alone.
Perhaps one of the Photoshop experts might be able to clean up what you've got!

I had a quick play with photoshop but these are straight from camera other than the art Corvette that was really dark but lightened the pic.
A Aston Martin racing driver had his expensive bike stolen from the paddock.
It's the fences that are the pain not so bad at night and tried to focus through them.
But you think the other pics are ok? What is your camera set up?

Few from the 2017 6R4.net track day at Curborough Sprint Circuit:
Craig Breen turned up in the afternoon for his first go in a 6R4...
...didn't take him long to start chucking it around!

Great pics as always mate. I've posted some new pics I took while I was away on instagram go check them out my username is Gaztotalmods, I think I've improved my photography a little and making a start on my post production. The images are scenic rather than cars thou.

I was planning to have a look at Instagram after I read your last post... and I still haven't got round to it!
Few pictures from the last month of motorsport. One from the British Rallycross Championship at Lydden...
...few from the World Rallycross Championship in France...
...and a couple from the grasstrack at Swingfield to finish.

I haven't been able to fit Rallyday in for the last few years, but it's already a good day out. Would like to be going this year as the 2017 Fiesta WRC is going to be there: please get some pictures!

Took a few shots at the last round of the BTCC at Brands...
...and some at the final round of the British Sidecarcross & Quad Championship at Canada Heights.
Looks like Canada Heights will be my last motorsport outing of 2017, so my camera will be going away for a few months!

So it turned out that Canada Heights wasn't my last motorsport outing of the year. A couple of weeks ago I went to Italy for a holiday with the missus around the Rally Legend weekend. It was an amazing event but, as it was supposed to be a holiday for two us, I was rather restrained with the camera.
Took a handful of snaps though, so here are a few of my faves:
As motorsport weekends go it wasn't cheap, but it was vastly superior to any rally I have been to in the UK: European rally fans are absolutely mental!

First motorsport of the year: opening round of the British Rallycross Championship at Silverstone. Stupidly cold conditions and only managed to take a handful of photos. Few faves:

Two more weekends of motorsport; first one was the British Motocross Championship at Canada Heights:
Second was the Blancpain Sprint at Brands Hatch.
I think the GT3 class is producing some of the best tarmac racing at the moment and the Blancpain Championship has been my favourite event at Brands Hatch the last few years...
...but they have absolutely ruined the GP loop at Brands now. High fences everywhere, which massively reduces the visibility (and photo opportunities). Very disappointing to see.

Went to Silverstone at the end of last month for the World Rallycross and to Curborough last Friday for the annual 6R4.net track day. Few pictures from those...
Unbelievable car control from Kristoffersson and Solberg: both were leaving paint on the barriers placed on the inside of the corners!

So I said I wouldn’t be giving Brands any more of my money after seeing what they had done to the GP loop earlier in the year, but a mate of mine was racing there in the Classic Sports Car Club Championship last month and the DTM visited last weekend, so I have ended up going there twice.
Few photos from the first day of the CSCC at Brands...
...and a few from the DTM...
...I am still cursing Brands for what they have done with the fencing but, that aside, the DTM cars were exactly as I remember: very fast and stupidly loud!

Love this!
Been to a trio of rallycross events in the last month, starting with the British Championship at Lydden...
...then the World Rallycross round in France...
...and then back to Lydden for the BTRDA rallycross Championship.
Going to try and get to a Wales this weekend for a day of the WRC so I may take a few shots there.

Went to Wales for the WRC. Was more there for spectating than photography, but I took a few pictures.
The current WRCars are absolutely jaw-dropping in person. I am impressed by them on video, but they are incredible to see in action. So quick and so much more alive than the last of the 2.0L WRCars.

Awesome looking bit of kit. I knew I had seen it somewhere before when I saw your first picture, but I couldn't remember where until yesterday: this is the car now being used by John Cross in the Retro Rallycross Championship, isn't it?
