Yes thats right guys.
Today we had our annual Ford Dunton Vehicle Enthusiasts Day at work.
This is an event that happens every year, and all the petrolheads at work can bring in their pride and joy to show off. The cars/vehicles are judged by top ford motorsport directors and managers and today was extra special as none other than 2 times WRC world champion Marcus Gronholm joined in too.
I was in the motorsport category and was lucky enough to come runner up against some very serious machinery.
Here are some in my class...
Porsche 996 GT3 cup racecar
900bhp cossie powered probe drag car (7 sec!!)
2.3 duratec powered MK2 escort (4 years to build 250bhp)
VR6 turbo mid engine golf (400bhp)
200bhp Group 4 escort rally car
Fully restored Technokart race cart (1964)
Heres Marcus having a look around my car. He said he liked the finish on all the modifications and said i had built a very nice car. He even had a good look around the interior and dash.
Then i asked if he would mind autographing my car?
"No problem" he says... so heres the back of my carbon Recaro now with a new addition
Marcus just before going out to put on a display in the 08 gravel spec Ford focus WRC.
And him doing what he does best...
And some of my favorites of the show.

Great pics!
I recognise your scooby from when i delivered a few Wickes Kitchen bits to your house a few months back and could'nt help but notice your luurvely scooby!
Your dad took the delivery and i spoke to him a lil about your car.
It was about 7am on a saturday, so i'm sure you was fast asleep in bed when i came knocking, haha lol.
What do you do with the scooby?
Is it a track car or everyday car?

Ha ha, i was probably at work mate.
The car has been built for fast road and mainly the Nurburgring. Its SORN at the moment as the motor is being taken out next week as i have a forged 2.5ltr to go in that should take some big boost. Im looking a a driveable, reliable 450+bhp but more importantly over 500lbsft of torque.
Thanks for your comments. Cool way to meet someone lol
