i've got a problem, here it is

i post up a simple question regarding and extension lead and all of a sudden everyone decides it's going to be funny to reply like they've just got off the short bus

it was a perfectly innocent question ending up leading towards someone telling me to dangle it form an upstairs window so my kids can use it as a zip slide :fume:

i'd understand if it was me who'd made the joke and the thread had been funny, or if i'd posted it in the muppet rooom, but it wasn't and i didn't

and no i won't chill out because i'm pissed off with the fact that certain members on here get treated like shit and no one does anything about it, yet others get away with virtually anything they like

i can garantee that if i'd posted about someones 2 year old kid jumping out of a window i'd get a bollocking for it

virtually everyone on this site knows i have isues in deciphering messages seeming obvious to everyone else, so if this is one of them "jokes" i'd don't get it

there, i've said me bit and i'll wait to see if anything happens

in case you didn't know, this is the thread

Dojj, if there's anything on your thread that you're not happy with press that little red triangle on any post that offends you & we'll get on the case & sort it out if it's out of order.

We dont want ANY mamber on Pf to feel like they're having the piss taken out of them unless it's two way banter.

maplins mate :king:

loads of high spec leads there that will fit though the letter box if you want them too

I have to say Dojj does appear to get alot of Flack from some well known members on here.

I can only re-itterate what AJ has said and ask you to ensure you press the https://passionford.com/forum/images/buttons/report.gif button if your unhappy as otherwise we either:

1) May not see it.
2) may think its banter your happy with.

geezo this place is so serious

Dojj, you always seem to have some "MASSIVE PROBLEM" that needs attention, and its always just the sort of very very very minor issues that most of us deal with on a day to day basis without ever feeling the need to post them on the internet, if the plug doesnt fit, chop it off and fit one that does, or route the cable differently, surely thats obvious to anyone, so I think thats why you seem to get so much flack, its cause its always you asking the silly trivial questions in the first place so it always seems fair game to have a bit of humour about them.

dojj Jan 16, 2009 03:16 PM

aj, stu, duely noted

chip, i don't want to chop the plug as it's one of those circit braker plugs, hence being moulded to the wires at both ends, and no, i cannot route it a different way otherwise i would have, hence the post about finding something that would fit through the letter box
why buy something "safe" like this and then cut it to make life easier? it defeats the whole point of spending money on somethng that has been designed with small kids in mind to prevent them from jumping around and eletrocuting themselves if something were to go wrong

i shouldn't "HAVE" to explain this all because then i get tagged with "too long a post to read, not bothered" and yet it all seems to turn out like this for virtually every point i make

too many threads now seem to take on a sinister sort of "look, this guys an easy target, let's all join in and hopefully no one will pick on me"

you know i'm right but it's very hard to point outanother thread as the turn around time on them is so short from starting to falling off the end of the page

i don't want to get anyone into trouble because, on the whole, i get on with the vast majority of posters here and can take a joke when it's appropriate and can see the funny side of things in most cases, but not in this case :(

i'm sure that face to face it would have been fine, but the internet is a strange place and things tend to get lost in translation :(

quite

for example, today i posted a question about someone trying to steal my number plate and got some strange replies, but i didn't feel that they were "wrong" in any way as they were just jokes that my mates would come out with

and they weren't directed at my family but me, and i don't mind people ribbing me if i put up a silly post as i can sit here and try and get along with it or defend myself

but for some people, it seems that they get more a a boost from being nasty rather than just being funny, but as that is such a fine line, i try very hard not to go to that sort of vicinity

and yes, there does seem to have been a general maturing of the posts in the new year so whatever has happened, seems to be working

:top: to everyone invovled :DD:
