XR3i cab' trim...
i'm currently in the process of rebuilding a mk4 escort cab and have grown to dislike the horrible trim that runs down both sides halfway up the doors and rear 1/4 panels....
so my question is, is it stuck on or screwed/clipped?? i'm keen on just pulling it off but then dont wanna find loads of holes.

Should be glued on mate
Pour boiling water over the joins [it kills the solvent] and gently ease the trim off.
If it won't come away easily, get a wallpaper scraper, wrap it in a cotton T-Shirt [so not to scratch your paint] and use it to prise your way along the trim, bit by bit
Have a tub of T-Cut ready after for any stubborn glue, or just to fade the paint back into the bodywork as it may have discoloured a bit, then remember to polish after

get ure missues hairdryer and heat it up the strip at one end it took me half hour to do.
give it a good clean afterwards and polish it up as the paint under where the strip was darker than the paint above the strip.
if you have the xr3i stickers aswell do the same to them aswell as it makes the car look better

yes... this comes off dead easy. as other people have said - heat it up and the plastic and solvents that are holding it onto the body become more pliable, and easier to remove. Any risidual stickiness disappears with a bit of t-cut and polish.
