Its not the same as a pug !!
For after market wheels use ET 35-40.

if anyone is wondering about the offset of an escort its et36 up to an et of41.
this is for mk5,6,and 7's.the pcd is 4x108.anything more than 17's on an escort will require arch rolling.hope that helps.if still unsure about what to fit,take off original ford alloy wheel and look for the offset stamped into the wheel.this mark is located on one of the inner spokes.
