Hi I've just bought a 2003 transit 260 swb, while driving it home it won't go over 60 mph and blows puffs of black smoke when accelerating, has anyone got any idea what could cause this? I've been told that it's probably due to a speed limiter, so if it is how do I get it taken off? Thanks

Sounds more like a turbo problem than a speed limiter

Hey trigger I thought the same but it runs OK upto 60 then just no power cheers Doug
