Default New Fastest Road engine from MAD.

Been to the Motoworq RR today to see an EVO using the EFR 9180 with 1.1 housing. Mark had said it should be his most Powerfull Cossie/EVO engine ever on pump fuel. He was right it made 808.7bhp & 664.7ft-lb @2.5 bar. Similar figures to mine on race .
This engine wont use race fuel but it would exceed 900bhp if it did thats awesome.

Congrats Mark it sounded unreal .

I only have this graph all other details are with Mark & its best to go to the Escort Forum where i expect Mark will post full details. .

I don't know but on pump fuel it is up there with the most I have even seen,
It should do just over 900hp on race as is but we do have other bits in the pipeline for it to make more power.

I know Jonny at AI Autosport has built one and its 810bhp on NOS, so this one you built must be up there!!

Yeah of course!! There is plenty of 1000Bhp+ ones. But not road legal.

Will be interesting to see what power it would make on race fuel

In my experience with race fuel on Evo's this will make 900+hp and this is without the other changes planned.

Up till now my YB's have made more power than my Evo's based on the same turbo,
My guess we will be seeing this hp from Rods on pump.

I think Ross Walkers evo is probably the most powerful in the uk, it is also road legal but you wouldn't really call it a road car. !

Great work Mark, those EFR's seem to be very impressive.

I have PMed a mod but you have to dive through hoops just to bang your head against mod solidarity . Its against Mark not me but little can be done im afraid. As Fletcher said 'Dont let the ba*tards grind you down' if they feel big being bias so be it.

I really feel a thread like this appeals across all spectrums of brand, it opens up dialogue, discussion and stimulates people to talk cars, engines and ideas,

I would love to hear the mods view on why it was moved,

Mark,

I know very little on the BW Turbo so excuse my ignorance, do they do one that sits in the 400-450 bhp level??? And if so what would spool, top end etc be like, i.e do they tail off like a T34 does??

I have been looking in to this with Mark for my engine. The smallest Borg Warner is not twin scroll, (440 ish bhp) the next one up (520bhp) is twin scroll which Mark says really helps withe the spool. The 520 one will run around 420 bhp on a bog standard engine, the mapping would be deliberately holding back the turbo to keep boost under control therefore there wouldn't be any tailing off...quite the opposite.

I am told the 520 one will spool up quicker than my t34 and provide more boost and power throughout the whole rev range, lag would no longer exist......looking forward to mine going on soon.

The internal gated 7064 is awesome. Less lag than a T34 and upto 520hp flat out.

Not 100% sure. Loom and vipec plus a few other things like coil on plugs etc being done now. I think that I will order the Borg soon though and then Mark can map it to the engine. My car is a t16 kitted 205 Peugeot with 4x4 engine and running gear so my manifold will need to be a little different to fit.

Come and have a look when it is done.

Totally agree, if it was MSD this post would be a sticky at the top of GD.

But competition doesn't suit them, only fanboys
