the head gasket issues on the engine are nearly as bad as a cosworth
I was thinking more down the lines of a pair of t34 turbos
I have avoided the diesel p38 as it has the chocolate 2.5 bmw engine in

i still fancy a late rangy classic on a 93-94 with the 2.5 diesel motor,i'm no expert but they seem popular with the "soft dash" and the disco motor and i reckon will be the ones to go up in value the best along with any ltd editions and the 1st of them.

when you have 5 you have a better chance of having 1 good one or at worst you have plenty of donors for spares lol
I now carry a P38 donor card roflol
for all your Range Rover needs and problems please don't call as I have enough of my own roflol

what year and model is it
I have 6 of them now
what surprises me considering the fuel they drink is that they have all done a huge amount of miles

I'm surprised the mileage is high on any of them considering they spent most of their time on a recovery truck

ive been out in it today to formby beach, which is prob 35-38 miles from me. when the car came in to me the fuel gauge was on the first white bar above the red.i drove there at a steady 70mph,turned round and got halfway back before i had to put fuel in-20 quid took it just over where it was before.

i took it in a deal with a 2.5 v6 mondeo, which i think was actually worse on fuel than the range rover!!!

its a n reg in epsom green, with 170000 miles, has had an engine rebuild (apparently!) with fsh,mot jan and 5 months tax.not had one for a while so not sure what to price it at for a quick sale.....must be worth £1500 at least??

been testing 2 of them today The concrete mixer lorry sank up to its' axles try to get to my latest project in the woods
had to hitch two range rovers together to get the fooker out I should have videoed it or taken some pics
very impressed with the range rovers off road abilities
since I had them in the woods and the chains out ,after laying the 6.5m x 4m concrete slab we decided to do a spot of weeding in the woods, and used the range rovers to pull out around 20 trees, they have been well and truly tested and put through their paces today, and surprisingly they are still running with no messages on the display

Yet overnight by tomorrow you'll have all kinds of messages and warning lights!

Also i've noticed loads on ebay recently with 160-190k miles, both petrol and diesel which does make you think, these can't be as bad as people make out. (i still have mine and love it)

If you change your suspension from air to coils you must inform your insurace company or your insurance is worthless, my neighbour did'nt and wrote it off and the insurance company would noy pay out becuse of the conversion

Its nearly always cheaper to fix the eas than it is to put them on coils, i have had my p38 and it was'nt new when i brought it and the only eas trouble i have had is a worn compressor, new seal sorted that out
