can anyone let me know if there was actually a XR3I cabby mk4..... 1.4i ?????????
just seen one for sale, but didnt think they did such a thing, i thought they where all 1.6i??

There was never a 1.4i XR3i. They were all 1.6 MFI for the early models and EFI for the last of the run Mk4.

thats wot i thought, i asked the guy if it says xr3i on v5 or 1.6 or 1.4, and he reckons it says xr3i 1.4??
and also its had inj removed and carb fitted with low pressure fuel pump??????? dunno wot he's talkin about!!!

the only 14i that i know of is a single point inj

Well I believe the non XR3i 1.6 Cab came with a carb. But the Escort cab came with no engine smaller than a 1.6, XR3i injection or non XR3i carb.

Could be a non XR3i made up to look like one.

thats wot i thought, so thats why i asked him wot was on logbook, but he says its xr3i conv 1400cc, only thing i can think of is that its had engine change had been changed on v5 cause i know model cant be changed on v5
