Non starter
 

Got an orion ghia i thats been sat for a week while i was away. Was running fine before i left but won't start now. Engine turns over ok but doesn't fire. Checked for anything obvious but couldn't see anything. It's definately got fuel in as well.
Just wondering if anyone's got a safe way of testing the spark plugs and checking if fuel is getting into the cylinders. Any advice gratefully accepted

Just get an old plug put it in the ht lead rest on engine and crank, will soon tell you if there is a spark, which must be nice and healthy not a feeble spark.
Try and get a helper to crank the engine whilst you push down on the fuel metering flap, sometimes these stick around their edges, if so spray with carb cleaner to remove carbon deposits.
