Default Engine conversion question

Ok peoples, i know they aint exactly the nicest cars in the world but i've got a mk2 orion or onion whichever you want to call them.

1.6 cvh carb, only 72k but stem seals have gone and carb needs attention so i've decided to bin the lot and go a (little) bit more modern so i've decided i want a zetec. Obviously this entails alot of work but i'm going to keep with some older ideas etc..

so plans are (as i'm on a budget) 2.0 mondeo lump, bike carbs on either homemade or if a cheap enough on appears bogg brother manifold and simple edis spark system.

Now i know the basics like using the 1.8 sump, oil pickup, cvh oil filter....

Here comes the tricky questions i can't find out in alot of places, can i still use the 1.8 zetec flywheel and clutch assembly with the 1.6 cvh box and will this be ok to run the edis from the crank sensor?

i dont want to spend a fortune on this car but would like to be have something quiet quick and be able to transfer the engine out to something else at a later date.

Thanks in advance.

yes you can use flywheel and pick up sensor on zetec are you doing zvh or 16 v double over head cam also i would use twin 45s webers, bike carbs are not very good really and you can pick 40s or 45s same price

yea i've noticed that sinced i looked into it bout 12 months ago the price of bike carbs are shooting up and webbers have fallen...

Nah full 16v conversion, dont like cvh to be fair except the rst ones ofcourse which was my engine of choice but i would need a complete rst which would be too much if i'm honest.
