I have a Merlin Fluidised Bed Filter here. It is complete and with a new jar of filter media. The Fluidised Bed filters basically run with a simple pump (not supplied with the kit), or inline with an existing pumped system and offer MASSIVE improvement over filtered area.

For example, an Aquarium of 200 Gallons with an Undergravel filter alone, it is suggested that you could have upto 87 fish (of average weight), but with the Merlin, you can have 200 fish! There are many more advantages other than this.

I paid £100 for it and it has hardly been used, very clean! It is boxed and has all the bits with it. It can be free-standing, hung on the side of the aquarium or placed in the sump unit if you have one.
