2013 has been a quiet year for the Mille......

Started of by doing the California Superbike School @ Rockingham. With Level One completed I only did 30 mile on the road all summer.

So I decided to do my first Euro Track Day @ Portimao in sunny Portugal with No Limits.

However Day One was a wash out thanks to the tail end of the storm that battered the Uk.

Days two and three were a little better.....

A very well run event by the No Limits Team inc the Infamous Tea Urn.

After a shakey start, i increased in confidence every session. Really enjoyed the weekend and I've just booked a return trip in May 2014.


Rough costings:

3 days on track inc accomodation and bike transport from Swindon. £479

Fuel to get bike to Swindon and back £80

Flights, parking and hire car £300

Fuel for bike, food and drink £250

You say you had a shaky start... are/were you a confident road rider? I'm pretty safe and probably a bit of a pussy at times. I need some track time to develop I reckon.

Cool knee down pic. Was that something you do regularly or did it come naturally on track?
Angles you get on the public roads make me feel like my knee is 10 ft off the ground!!

Always been very conservative on the road mate after a lucky escape following a big off in 2001.
Had a big 'moment' earlier this year which knocked my confidence massively.

By end of day one i was happy to press on a bit.

As for getting knee down, i find it the most unnatural thing to do....i change my body position but rarely stick my knee out.

However once i did it was down both sides straight away

Deffo looking to get more tuition next year

I thought I was a confident rider but I went out with a bunch of quicker lads and found myself backing off

I put it down to lack of seat time and a little lack of confidence ,

Roll on 2014 !

love this track, the drive out to it so funny, would never of thought that round the next corner is a world class track.
go cart track is good too.
