No problem mate. If you need any info just pm me.
If you are going to lower it then leave the forks as they are as it will bring the bike to a square riding positon. Any adjustments to the suspension will change the handling which will mean learning the bike again. PS where in london are you? I work in Brentford and ride mine down to work often from Milton Keynes. I also go on a few rides with mates and often meet at ACE Cafe. I work in Brentford too :) and have a friend/college who lives in Milton Keynes, he rides a black K1200s into work, wonder if you've crossed paths... I work just off Windmill Road where abouts are you? Haven't been to Ace cafe recently, but I do go to box hill fairly frequently. Rob, |

i think all todays 600's are very quick compared to 12 years ago. the cbr is a bit focused. lots of hp but a bit peaky. i think a good compronmise weight/useability would be the 636 kwak, triumph 675, or the gixxer 750. even the 600 gsxr is a v.good road bike as itsa not as focused as the cbr/r6. again, the 07 on r6 is properly quick but makes its power right up top. if your happy on the cbr rr then any of the above will be decent on the road. the r6 and cbr rr and 600rr ninja and supersport bikes first and foremost, roadbikes second.
So far im pleasantly surprised with the perfectly acceptable low down torque of the rr, I can ride from 15mph in 6th to 1xx pretty smoothly which I didn't expect, granted the low gearing helps. Next bike wise, I do really like the daytona 675 and have heard superb things about the GSXR 750. Rob |

Looks really nice mate, haven't ridden mine for ages! It's tucked up waiting for the summer. Im sure you'll love it when the weather brightens up!
I've been toying with selling mine and getting a Daytona 675, but I think that's a 2014 purchase! Rob. |

99.9% of road riders dont know what the fuck to do with a thou its just "look what i got" me and my mates have all got thou's and we ride them hard. agreed some people buy them just to pose on and never use them hard but when you have had several bikes over several years and worked your way up it's just natural progression. |

Hi chaps,
Bit of an old thread but figured I would update it! I sold the 600rr a few weeks back and was initially pretty gutted to see it go. However I had been offered a low mileage 1000rr (56) for a price which I just couldn't say no to. Impressions: Amazing! The bike is just mind blowing. After riding this for a few hundred miles i realise how skittish the 600 felt by comparison. The 1000 just feels so stable and planted. It does things that the 600 could never do, like potter in 6th gear, pull away in 2nd with no thottle etc. But on an open road it is truly bonkers. Its also just as nimble round town which I didn't expect and almost as good on fuel. Honest advice is to go an buy a 1000, there is no chance that they are there for show and I will never again own another 600 sports bike. Rob, |
Pics to follow!

i agree but i sold my rr5 repsol blade but kept my rr5 600rr, i feel the 600 is more fun to ride and more throwable,
i agree the blades are something else, maybe its because my 600 is a little tatty so im not scared to chuck it around |
My 600rr was a 2004 and I believe they changed a lot for the RR5, Up side down forks, rear swing arm etc, I've never ridden a newer 600rr but can imaging the changes made the bike much better than mine!
Although saying that the RR4 was still a pretty chuckable bike and I've already had the 1000 lent over further at much higher speeds and it feels great, I was worried it would feel heavy compared with the 600 but it really doesn't. Down side is I've got a few track day vouchers from the girlfriend to use this summer and the 1000rr is a lot of money to chuck in the gravel! Rob, |
