looked at the busa but its alot of money for an older bike compared to the zzr1200.
The daytona 675 is a very good looking bike but wanting to go to france and the likes on it.

If you want to go to France, then avoid the 675 mate. I had one a few years back, beautiful to look at I must say. I bought it especially for the road trip, went to France and sold it as soon as I got back. What a pain in the arse it was. Never again, you had to ring its neck everywhere, even then it was too slow.

Buy a 996/998 best damn bike on the planet. But they can be expensive to maintain.

I would also add, for a road trip then try a ZX9R. Very very underrated bike so they are rather cheap. Took mine to France last year, what a top bike. Fast enough to keep up with the latest and greatest Gixers and still looks good. £2000 will get you a peach, chuck some good tyres on it then watch your mates face as you chase his £10,000 toy all over France, priceless.

Default bike

blackbird and zzr1200 both good as a tourers go ride both at a dealers, both these bikes will do big miles without effort ,but the zzr be carefull to check the gearbox because abused high milers can have 2nd-3rd gear problems as for the honda never heard much bad, just make sure you test ride them properly

Looks are a personal taste thing, shocked to read the over rated bit

What makes you say that out of interest?

PS I know the're no good for touring as you can't get racks for them any more due to the subframe scares
