Default R1 's info..

hi..
does anyone have any info on older R1s around the 2002 age.. been looking for a while but dont really know much about bikes so wondered any common problems that they might have.. they seem to be priced so differently higher miles with high prices then low miles at low prices.. any info would be great.. only really thinking R1 because i like the look of them compared to other similar aged bikes within the price range..
thanks for any help..
jay

2002-2003 5pw models are good but slow compared to the newer litre sports bikes. Over all though there comfy, quick, handle well, have decent brakes, and are reliable. I'd recomend one but the 04-06 model is better in every way apart from under seat storage

thanks think ill go out and have a look at a few when i get a chance . didnt really want to be spending loads on a bike as only really want it for getting through traffic.. i like the look of the older R1s and to be honest im never going to be using any bike to its max anyway im not as brave as i used to be.. plus the amount of people ive dragged out from under busses and trucks in london still worrys me .. was just seeing if they have any common problems that might make me end up spending a fortune on it like ive done with my bloody cossie..
cheers

looks awsome mate makes me want one right now.. although yours looks like its gonna cost a lot more than i have to spend.. i just worry that ill end up with a bike i done ever use sitting next to the car i never use.. cant stop myself looking on the biketrader site and wanting them all.. wheres good to learn a bit more about them and what problems to look for.. some 2002 bikes with under 10k miles on then the same year with 20k plus for the same money seems strange but like i said not clued up on bikes yet..

What sort of money would u be looking for if u were selling.
I know what u mean about getting bored as I've been really down with my cossie lately since being mapped but took it for a blast yesterday and I love it all over again .
